Referred to as adventure recreation, this activity is gaining popularity and clout. Even universities are beginning to offer outdoor recreation programs as the business world has now noticed the monetary potential of this active market.

Adventurers rely on their own skills, knowledge and physical abilities to get them through the rigors of their chosen outdoor adventure. But, they also need to be able to rely on their gear, and one of the most important pieces of adventure gear is footwear. Having the right footwear for your chosen adventure will help you remain safe from injury and support your ability to endure any physically challenging adventure you seek.

STEP 4: Try on your new Adventure shoes. The shoes should feel comfortable throughout from the moment you try them on. Never attempt to break in uncomfortably tight Adventure shoes.
  • ADVENTURE RACING
    • Cyclists, runners, climbers and swimmers who seek to add a new challenge to their sport often turn to adventure racing to satisfy their adrenaline fueled needs. Adventure racing is a phenomenon that is gaining momentum across the nation. While disciplines and race lengths vary depending on the type of race, adventure racers are sure to encounter tough tasks that test and improve their skills in such disciplines as orienteering, rappelling and climbing, just to name a few. With adventure racing, just finishing the race is considered a victory, but in order to do just that, it’s important to wear the right ADVENTURE RACING FOOTWEAR.
  • BACKPACKING
    • Backpacking is just one of the many recreational activities often pursued by adventurers. That’s because it is a fun and physically challenging activity that includes hiking with all gear loaded into a backpack and an overnight stay outdoors. Many adventurers plan their backpacking trip for an entire weekend or more. If you will be backpacking, you should wear BACKPACKING BOOTS.

        • Heavy fabrication
        • Rigid construction to support the ankles
        • Mid to high cut
        • Well-ventilated if backpacking in dry climate
        • Water resistant if backpacking in wet climate or on wet terrain
        • NOTE: If you are backpacking with a backpack that weighs less than 35 pounds, choose a mid-weight backpacking boot or shoe. If you are backpacking with a backpack that weighs more than 35 pounds, choose a heavy weight backpacking boot.

  • ALPINE
