- BACKPACKING
- Backpacking is just one of the many recreational activities often pursued by the average weekend warrior. It includes hiking with all gear loaded into a backpack and an overnight stay outdoors. Many weekend warriors plan their backpacking trip for the entire weekend. If you will be backpacking, you should wear BACKPACKING BOOTS..
- TIPS:
- Heavy fabrication
- Rigid construction to support the ankles
- Mid to high cut
- Well-ventilated if backpacking in dry climate
- Water resistant if backpacking in wet climate or on wet terrain
- NOTE: If you are backpacking with a backpack that weighs less than 35 pounds, choose a mid-weight backpacking boot or shoe. If you are backpacking with a backpack that weighs more than 35 pounds, choose a heavy weight backpacking boot.

- SNOWSHOEING
- Size matters when it comes to SNOWSHOES. The size of the snowshoe is dependent upon the weekend warriors personal weight, load weight and the type of snow he/she will be snowshoeing on. A large snowshoe is best for dry, powdery snow and/or when the total weight of the person and his/her load is heavy. For a firm, packed snow trail and/or when the total weight of the person and his/her load is light, a smaller snowshoe is preferable.
- CANYONEERING
- Weekend warriors who seek an extraordinary adventure that includes traveling down streams and creeks within a canyon by hiking, rappelling, climbing, swimming and even liloing (riding an inflatable mattress down stream) should give canyoneering a try. For that, you will need CANYONEERING FOOTWEAR. When choosing your canyoneering footwear, be sure to consider the difficulty of the terrain which you will be hiking in conjunction with the duration of the hike. Some canyoneering hikes may include less challenging terrain and take only an hour of the day, while other canyoneering hikes can be extremely challenging and take up to 17 hours or more. The more difficult the terrain and the more challenging the canyoneering hike, the more support and durability you will need in your canyoneering footwear.
- MOUNTAIN BIKING
- Riding a bike off-road on rugged terrain is not only a great way to spend the weekend, its also great exercise. Weekend warriors appreciate mountain biking for its challenges, as it is a sport that requires endurance and self-reliance.
