Lowa Banff Review - I purchased these shoes from Zappos in a size 11 but eventually realized that a 10.5 would be better - so I returned them to Zappos without any trouble at all! Thanks again Zappos! You guys are great. I took the 10.5s with me to Glacier NP for a week’s vacation hiking around the park. Glacier is a hiker’s paradise-to say the least! Get there if you can! Well, the boots are pretty stiff but definitely gave my foot the needed support for the climbs up the trails. The only issue I had was that the heel portion of the boot was a little wide, making for some issues for my heel and I was a bit unhappy with that. Nothing major but I probably need to somehow address that. I used hiking socks and liners. Coming down the trails there was also some toe jamming but again not too bad. Even wearing the boot at home for a few days didn't really give me all the feedback like being on the trail. The boot was nice and stiff for me when I was hiking in the snow down from Granit Park Chalet. I still am in the hunt for the perfect hiking shoe-if there is one. Maybe someday I'll get lucky. A well made boot and with the correct boot dressing was waterproof for me.

This is a very different shoe from the Velocity XCR. It's not merely an upgrade. This feels much more like a sneaker/running shoe than other Vasque styles that pass as trail runners. I can actually run in these, something I couldn't imagine with the Volta or Mantra, or even Velocity XCR, all of which I tried this go-round. It actually hugs the foot and feels sturdy but flexible. I have extremely narrow heels, along with a normal to wide forefoot and this shoe is very accommodating. There is an extra, outer terminal eyelet which allows for a heel-fit adjustment. This is common in running shoes, but it is the first time I've seen it in anything by Vasque. This shoe feels stable and well-cushioned on rugged terrain -- much more so than the relatively flimsy New Balance 800WT, which I now use only for dry pavement and park strolling. Good for trail running or fast walking, particularly on uneven, muddy surfaces; extended city or park walks; even some very light hiking. They are probably not supportive enough for longer, more strenuous hikes. They are short. I recommend sizing up a half size. I ordered the "B-Medium" width. I've checked "felt narrower than marked" only because I find it narrow compared to most other outdoor shoes I've tried, by Vasque, Merrell, Salomon, etc. Note that a "D-Wide" width is available that might fit more like those other brands' medium.

Great Buy - As always, Keen is a great shoe. This shoe feels good on the foot and looks great. After buying several pairs of Keen sandals, I decided to try a shoe. They are very comfortable for all day walking. I ordered a size up as I feel they run a little small, but overall, I love this shoe!

I have this same pair in elephant and pink. They are very comfortable and cute. They are a color that would go with anything you may wear. I teach school, so it is imperative for me to have a comfortable shoe. These are great. Merrells are the most comfortable shoes I have found.

Own 2 other styles - these cute, but not as comfy - I own Keen's Calistoga mary janes and Venice water shoes -- I live in them. But these ballerina flats aren't nearly as comfy. I've worn them for several months, not a lot, but I still get blisters after 5 or more hours -- the break-in period is apparently still not over. But, better than many other flats for comfort.

The best all-type-wear shoes ever - These Keens are so comfy and such good support that I don't even have to wear my orthotics with them!!! Please don't ever discontinue this model.

Love this winter clog - I've had a tough time finding a winter clog I like -- and I only like to wear clogs in Chicago winters, so my winter clog is very important to me! This is the perfect winter clog -- great traction, warm look and feel, and a removable faux fur insert, so I can use an orthotic insert during most of the year and the faux fur when it gets chilly. Very comfortable to wear, good sizing, good arch support, and many, many compliments. Love that some of the material is recycled!

Hard to fit foot. The boots are perfect in every way. I have always used NB shoes for running. When I had trouble finding a hiking boot to fit, I turned to Zappos and NB. These boots fit at the exact same size as their running shoes. Since I wear a size 7EE, it is hard to find anything to fit. I received a free shipping upgrade, and received the boots the next day!

Very comfortable - Bought these shoes for shore excursions on an Alaskan cruise. They were comfortable from the start, great to hike in, and kept my feet dry! Also like the fact that the grey/wisteria color does not make my size 11 feet look like boats, like the light colored athletic shoes do.
