Comfort and support for my son's wide feet - This is the second pair of Keens I've bought for my son and he lives in them! They are wide and cushiony (very important to my 10-year-old who likes to sprint and run at any given time, track or not) and have good support. Soles have good traction. My son also has a protruding bone on the top of his foot that some shoe styles aggravate, but not Keens. We bought the slip-on for occasions that require a tad more dressed-up look. He wore his first pair every day until he literally wore them out.

Happy shoes!!! These shoes are another success by Keen! My son has worn this style since kindergarten, now in the third grade! They are easy-on; easy-off which makes both moms and kids happy! They clean well in the washer following jumps into mud puddles! Because they can be tightened with the cord they can serve as athletic shoes as well! Overall, excellent shoe.

FABULOUS shoes for boys! I purchased this pair of Dakota Keen's for my oldest son (6.5) several months ago and they are EXCELLENT for weekend wear! He loves them because he can easily slip them on or off. They are very durable, a requirement for boy shoes! They did run about a half size large. I would definitely purchase this pair again. Excellent Zappos service, as always!

Elastic broke after 1 week! I love Keen shoes, they've served both my husband and I well, but these shoes I bought for my son broke after a week! That is, the elastic that tightens the shoe around his ankle. We'll be returning them with regrets.

Too hard to get on - I love Keen shoes but I can hardly get these on my toddler’s foot. The elastic on top doesn’t stretch far enough. He complains that it hurts to get them on. Once he is wearing them he is fine. I wouldn’t buy them again.

EXCELLENT RUGGED SHOE FOR KIDS WITH WIDE FEET - I am very pleased with these shoes. My son is six, but has a huge, wide foot with a high instep and these provided exactly what I was looking for: waterproof, rugged, easy to put on and take off, no laces, velcro or zipper and extremely durable. He loves them, too. I will buy these for my 2-year-old daughter, who also has a huge foot!!

A past favorite - My son is wearing this same shoe in his 3rd size & I'm not sure what Keen has done different, but according to him it is no longer a comfortable shoe. I do know that they run small, as always, but now they seem stiff as well. The past 2 pairs were great from day one, but he is no longer a fan of his Keens. I love them as they keep feet dry & warm, but I think I need to find a new alternative.

Function, looks, attitude! My 7 year old quickly zeroed in on this style. Perfect fit - he has slightly wider feet - and wiggle room for toes. We all like the chunky looks; and a bonus: kid says he can kick homeruns better with these - probably the broader radius of the toe! We are a Keen family, so we may be biased. Also, an aspect not to be underestimated with online shopping especially shoes: when we returned a second pair we bought for my other son, Zappos' phone system and customer service people were far and way the best I have ever dealt with.

Keen Kids Dakota Youth shoe (brown) - These are very nice shoes and were exactly what I was looking for. I was looking for an all weather shoe that would hold up well in rain, snow, etc for an easy slip-on when going out. Keen Dakota (Youth) We love the shoe - everything it claims to be. Two cautionary comments however: 1) it's not made for children with a high instep (too difficult to get into), 2) Keen does seem to run a little on the small side so order up.

Great Shoe - I am an adult that wears children sized shoes. This Keen style, I found actually fits true to size, it is very comfortable. I don't love the yellow stitching, but I am sure that children don't mind this at all.

Great Kid Shoes - My son, 6 yrs old, loves these shoes. They run SMALL. We originally ordered a size 2 (which is what all his other shoes are) and we returned for a size 3. He loves that they slip on and he can get his shoes on quickly and be on the go. I especially like that they are great for rain, light mud or slush.

Kids Dakota - Great Shoe! Will keep my feet warm and dry. I generally wear a woman’s 6, but bought the boy’s size 6 and they fit great and they're cheaper.

This is our second pair of Dakotas. They are truly an every thing shoe: cute, rugged, waterproof, great for school, playtime and casual dress up. My son says they are the most comfortable shoe he owns. He likes that they are easy to slip on and off and that they can be worn with or without socks. The wide toe box also allows for heavier socks in the winter without the cramped toe feeling that other shoes have. Our last Dakotas had been through the snow, mud, ocean and washing machine and after a year they still looked great. As to the size, well, we find that Keens run small. I always buy a full size larger and the fit has been perfect so far.

Great shoe, but make sure to order a size larger! Love this shoe, very cute and great for snow, but had to order whole size up from what my children usually wear. Noticed that all the kids' Keen shoes seem to run small - never had that problem with Keen adult shoes. Great brand of shoe.

Cool looking & made to last - My 13 year old son loves this shoe because he likes how it looks, it just slips on, and it is very comfortable. I like it because he has had them on his fast moving feet since he got them 3 weeks ago and they still look brand new.

Kool Keen Kids - These shoes are very comfortable and extremely Kool. I get a lot of compliments on them. I'm a freelance photographer, so they are great to wear when I go on an outdoor assignment. The design of the shoe is fun and outgoing! P.S. I'm wearing them and, I am in my 40's.....

Love these shoes! I have a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable for my 6 year old son. When I find a pair that is comfortable he wears out the toe area in just a few weeks. This is the first pair of Keens he has tried and he absolutely loves them. He has had them a couple of weeks and has worn them every day with no complaints about his feet hurting. The toe area looks very well constructed and is showing no signs of wear.

Love these shoes - I was already a huge Keen fan for myself, but I recently bought these shoes for my 6 year old son. He loves them and wears them every day. They are warm and completely waterproof. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another pair when he grows out of these one.

Stylish Outdoor Waterproof Shoe - This is my 2nd pair of Keen. I'm a very petite adult & am happy when I find stylish footwear in the kid's sizes. These look fun & are completely waterproof. I purchased the tomato-red colored pair. They aren't as bright as pictured, which I was happier with. The 1st pair had a defective pull tab, but I returned those for another pair of the same & they were perfect. They feel slightly smaller or more narrow than my other pair of Keen (Bronx), but they were broken in very quickly. Recommended if you're looking for a 'different' looking durable waterproof shoe.

Great rain shoe - just what I was looking for! I bought these shoes for myself since I wear a small size. Also, they were half the price of the adult sizes. Anyway, I wanted a sturdy waterproof shoe for rainy days. Very comfortable and look adorable. Plenty of wiggle room for my wide foot. I got the tomato red and love it.

First time Keen purchase – I got this shoe for my seven-year-old grandson. He absolutely adores this shoe. They keep his feet dry and are so comfortable. At school recess he spends lots of time out doors. The shoes are perfect for outside play during the damp season. This is our first Keen purchase, but will not be the last.

Great shoe, but make sure to order a size larger! Love this shoe, very cute and great for snow, but had to order whole size up from what my children usually wear. Noticed that all the kids' Keen shoes seem to run small - never had that problem with Keen adult shoes. Great brand of shoe.

Cool looking & made to last - My 13 year old son loves this shoe because he likes how it looks, it just slips on, and it is very comfortable. I like it because he has had them on his fast moving feet since he got them 3 weeks ago and they still look brand new.

Kool Keen Kids - These shoes are very comfortable and extremely Kool. I get a lot of compliments on them. I'm a freelance photographer, so they are great to wear when I go on an outdoor assignment. The design of the shoe is fun and outgoing! P.S. I'm wearing them and, I am in my 40's.....

Love these shoes! I have a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable for my 6 year old son. When I find a pair that is comfortable he wears out the toe area in just a few weeks. This is the first pair of Keens he has tried and he absolutely loves them. He has had them a couple of weeks and has worn them every day with no complaints about his feet hurting. The toe area looks very well constructed and is showing no signs of wear.

Love these shoes - I was already a huge Keen fan for myself, but I recently bought these shoes for my 6 year old son. He loves them and wears them every day. They are warm and completely waterproof. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another pair when he grows out of these one.

Stylish Outdoor Waterproof Shoe - This is my 2nd pair of Keen. I'm a very petite adult & am happy when I find stylish footwear in the kid's sizes. These look fun & are completely waterproof. I purchased the tomato-red colored pair. They aren't as bright as pictured, which I was happier with. The 1st pair had a defective pull tab, but I returned those for another pair of the same & they were perfect. They feel slightly smaller or more narrow than my other pair of Keen (Bronx), but they were broken in very quickly. Recommended if you're looking for a 'different' looking durable waterproof shoe.

Great rain shoe - just what I was looking for! I bought these shoes for myself since I wear a small size. Also, they were half the price of the adult sizes. Anyway, I wanted a sturdy waterproof shoe for rainy days. Very comfortable and look adorable. Plenty of wiggle room for my wide foot. I got the tomato red and love it.

First time Keen purchase – I got this shoe for my seven-year-old grandson. He absolutely adores this shoe. They keep his feet dry and are so comfortable. At school recess he spends lots of time out doors. The shoes are perfect for outside play during the damp season. This is our first Keen purchase, but will not be the last.
