Super cute shoe! Unfortunately, they were almost an inch shorter than my son\'s size 4 Geox tennis shoes. We will try the next size up!

Keens are the only shoes that have proven to hold up to my active, 'tough on clothes and shoes' 6 year old. These are the second time we've purchased this particular pair since they are made to withstand water, don't have laces that will fall apart, and when my son ruins the decorative bands on the top we just cut them off and the shoes still work and look great.

Keen 4 Life! My 3 year old has been wearing his Dakotas for 4-5 months and they still look new! This is his second pair of Keens because I was so impressed with his first pair. They're comfortable, stylish, and indestructible. I was concerned with the reviews commenting on the difficulty of putting them on, but even with my son's wide feet we don't have a problem. Even if I have to help him once in awhile, it's worth it! My older son also has a pair of Keens and he loves his just as much! With two active boys and a mom who likes them to look stylish, we're with Keen 4 life!

Great Water Resistant Shoe! My son played in the snow and slush - the outer shoe was soaking wet and his socks were bone dry. I am very impressed by this shoe's water resistance. I highly recommend.

Keen Kids Dakota - I love the look and sturdiness of this shoe. It will definitely endure a Northeast Penna winter. However my son complains that it rubs on the top of his foot. I am hoping it just needs to break in a bit. This shoe will be perfect as a school and play shoe.

Really cool looking and indestructible - Only complaint is that the stretchy closure broke right away as kids will pull things really tight. Might also order another color it is so cute and this is unusual for a boy shoe. Wear with or without socks. Too cool.

Just minutes before writing this review I ordered another pair of the very same shoe, in a different color, for my son. Needless to say, they are true to size and width. They are comfortable and durable. They hold up through day after day of 5th grade school-yard football and still look decent enough to wear with more dressy clothes. My son has a high arch and I have heard no complaints. They are easy to get off and on also. I would, and will, buy more. I love Keen shoes!

Love this shoe - We’ve had keen shoes before and loved them and the same goes for this shoe. Easy on and off, looks great, is water proof, can be sporty or nice enough to wear with khaki pants. Can’t go wrong with it. As with keen shoes, they are great for a wider foot.

I love these shoes. They're so cute and they look great with boot cut jeans! Danskos are the best shoes to wear if you have a bad back or have had back surgery like I recently have. I wear my Dansko Professionals almost every day but have been wanting a pair of Danskos that are more stylish. I fell in love with these when I saw them online and I love them even more in person.

Comfort and support for my son's wide feet - This is the second pair of Keens I've bought for my son and he lives in them! They are wide and cushiony (very important to my 10-year-old who likes to sprint and run at any given time, track or not) and have good support. Soles have good traction. My son also has a protruding bone on the top of his foot that some shoe styles aggravate, but not Keens. We bought the slip-on for occasions that require a tad more dressed-up look. He wore his first pair every day until he literally wore them out.

Happy shoes!!! These shoes are another success by Keen! My son has worn this style since kindergarten, now in the third grade! They are easy-on; easy-off which makes both moms and kids happy! They clean well in the washer following jumps into mud puddles! Because they can be tightened with the cord they can serve as athletic shoes as well! Overall, excellent shoe.

FABULOUS shoes for boys! I purchased this pair of Dakota Keen's for my oldest son (6.5) several months ago and they are EXCELLENT for weekend wear! He loves them because he can easily slip them on or off. They are very durable, a requirement for boy shoes! They did run about a half size large. I would definitely purchase this pair again. Excellent Zappos service, as always!

Elastic broke after 1 week! I love Keen shoes, they've served both my husband and I well, but these shoes I bought for my son broke after a week! That is, the elastic that tightens the shoe around his ankle. We'll be returning them with regrets.

Too hard to get on - I love Keen shoes but I can hardly get these on my toddler’s foot. The elastic on top doesn’t stretch far enough. He complains that it hurts to get them on. Once he is wearing them he is fine. I wouldn’t buy them again.

EXCELLENT RUGGED SHOE FOR KIDS WITH WIDE FEET - I am very pleased with these shoes. My son is six, but has a huge, wide foot with a high instep and these provided exactly what I was looking for: waterproof, rugged, easy to put on and take off, no laces, velcro or zipper and extremely durable. He loves them, too. I will buy these for my 2-year-old daughter, who also has a huge foot!!

A past favorite - My son is wearing this same shoe in his 3rd size & I'm not sure what Keen has done different, but according to him it is no longer a comfortable shoe. I do know that they run small, as always, but now they seem stiff as well. The past 2 pairs were great from day one, but he is no longer a fan of his Keens. I love them as they keep feet dry & warm, but I think I need to find a new alternative.

Function, looks, attitude! My 7 year old quickly zeroed in on this style. Perfect fit - he has slightly wider feet - and wiggle room for toes. We all like the chunky looks; and a bonus: kid says he can kick homeruns better with these - probably the broader radius of the toe! We are a Keen family, so we may be biased. Also, an aspect not to be underestimated with online shopping especially shoes: when we returned a second pair we bought for my other son, Zappos' phone system and customer service people were far and way the best I have ever dealt with.

Keen Kids Dakota Youth shoe (brown) - These are very nice shoes and were exactly what I was looking for. I was looking for an all weather shoe that would hold up well in rain, snow, etc for an easy slip-on when going out. Keen Dakota (Youth) We love the shoe - everything it claims to be. Two cautionary comments however: 1) it's not made for children with a high instep (too difficult to get into), 2) Keen does seem to run a little on the small side so order up.

Great Shoe - I am an adult that wears children sized shoes. This Keen style, I found actually fits true to size, it is very comfortable. I don't love the yellow stitching, but I am sure that children don't mind this at all.

Keen Kids Dakota Youth shoe (brown) - These are very nice shoes and were exactly what I was looking for. I was looking for an all weather shoe that would hold up well in rain, snow, etc for an easy slip-on when going out. I have never experienced such a wonderful website that offers so much to choose from and can't believe how fast I received them!! Thank you!

Keen Dakota (Youth) We love the shoe - everything it claims to be. Two cautionary comments however: 1) it's not made for children with a high instep (too difficult to get into), 2) Keen does seem to run a little on the small side so order up.

Great Shoe - I am an adult that wears children sized shoes. This Keen style, I found actually fits true to size, it is very comfortable. I don't love the yellow stitching, but I am sure that children don't mind this at all.
