Lowa Boots - An outstanding boot. They do feel SLIGHTLY smaller than the marked size, but overall very comfortable. This is my second pair, and this is probably the only duty boot I will wear in uniform again.

Great support, lightweight... All around the boots are great! Very light-weight for this high and supportive of a boot. The boot is also relatively water tight. It only took one day to break the boot in. The only complaint I have is, while the traction is great on most wet/dry surfaces, the boot is slippery in mud.

EE or Wide be aware - Unfortunately, they weren't meant for EE or wide feet. Wish they made these outstanding boots for wide feet like myself. I met Lowa guys at recent show, and asked if they have any plans making these in wide. The answer was NO. So I guess LOWA and I are never meant to be.

Lowa Desert Seeker, A fine boot - If I were a foot, I would marry this boot! They are light in the extreme, lighter than some athletic shoes I've worn. Stabilty is very good and better than many heavy boots. I purchased them for the South Carolina heat and must wait to see how they handle it, but I suspect they will meet my expectations and keep the dogs from howling. As with other reviews, order a half size larger.

Comfortable, quality boot - All in all just a decent looking well made hiking boot. These boots feel comfortable and fairly lightweight. A bit narrow though and go with a half size larger.

Excellent Military Desert Boot! I ordered these boots for my deployment to Iraq after reading about them on several military blog sights. They are far superior to the Bellville 360 in every way, and the Bellville is a great boot. I just got them, so not sure how well they will hold up, but so far so good. They do run small, so buy at least 1/2 size larger than normal. They felt tight when I first started wearing them, but then they broke in and fit just fine. They offer excellent ankle, heel and arch support and superior cushioning. The curved last makes walking long distances much more comfortable. I bought them from Zappos, then found them cheaper on another web-sight and Zappos honored their 110% price protection policy; no questions asked. The sales rep on the phone was super helpful and very nice. Way to go Zappos!

Very nice, but beware of sizing - I'll throw a woman's perspective into the mix when it comes to sizing. I usually wear men's boots because my feet are a little wider than most women's, and usually find M width men's boots to fit perfectly. But these are narrow, even for me. And while I normally wear an 8 or 8.5 US in men's boots, I ordered a 9, heeding the warnings of other reviewers, and I'm glad I did. A little smaller and/or a little narrower, and these boots would not have fit. All of that aside, they're good looking boots, snug but comfortable, very good support. They're nice and high, to protect my ankles from rattlesnake bites, but so far I've worn them only in the city. We'll see what happens if I ever end up wearing them in the desert.

Not too bad, but... I bought a pair of these in preparation for a deployment to East Africa. I had read a number of online reviews that warned that these boots ran a little small and I am glad that I paid attention to them: these boots are definitely not sizing you'd expect with US- or British-made military boots. They are noticeably *narrower* than marked, and run *at least* a half size smaller. I bought a full size larger than my regular size (13 vice 12) and they are still on the cusp of acceptable. That said, with a set of low-volume, blue superfeet insoles, I find them to be relatively comfortable. The real test, of course, will come when I'm living in them out in the sand.

SUPER lightweight desert boots - I wore Danner for over ten years, but most recently I discovered LOWA Desert Sleeker. What a difference!! Super light weight, very comfortable. The only downside is that they dont offer wide width, and they tend to ran narrow. Also, I ordered ½ size up and worked out great. I also hope LOWA will make 6 inch cut desert boots. That will be the perfect boots for my line of work!! And yes, Zappos delivered them very quick & offer competitive price!!
