Amazing - I am so happy with this shoe. I have been a fan of the Chaco sandal for some time, but I've been hesitant to try the design with the toe wrapped. I've never liked something between my toes, but thought I would give this a try anyway. So glad I did. It keeps my foot firmly in place as I move actively around. Love this shoe!

Call me a critic, but I don't give five-star ratings unless they're earned. All I can say is WOW! I am on my feet most of the day, and these boots perform like a cross-training shoe. Great support, traction, and looks. And as soon as I put them on, I could feel my feet getting warm. This is going to be a great winter!

I love them! I have problems with my arches sometimes, and even get cramps in the arches of my feet if I don't wear supportive footwear. I have worn these sandals as much as possible since I have had them because they are great! I have hiked sand dunes, hiked a rocky trail, waded up stream to a waterfall, and went shopping in them. If I could wear them to work I would never take them off! I normally wear 8.5 but the 9 fits great. The sizing chart was right on.

Shoe of Excellence - This shoe is light and comfortable. I feel like my feet are natural softly padded. This is an excellent shoe. Helps relieve pressure off your legs.

Little tight on the toe. I don't know if this is because I have a weird foot (never been a problem before), but the toe seems to tighten as you wear these, so by the end of the day it is VERY tight on your big toe. Other than that, really like them. I would consider the Unaweep without the toe strap.

These are the most comfortable shoes on the planet... I'm on my 3rd pair. You do have to break them in because the top is a little stiff at first, but they are heavenly after a few wearings.

Fantastic sandal - My son has hiked the Smokey Mountains in these sandals for years and encouraged me to get a pair when I said I needed a good walking shoe with a lot of support. I'd been having serious problems with neuropathy in addition to aging arches. I am amazed at the way these sandals have improved my ability to walk. I'm into walking miles at a time now. Highly recommend this sandal.

These are great! These shoes are so comfortable! I just got my first pair of Chacos about a month ago and I have been wearing them on a daily basis. I have actually not taken them hiking or anything yet, but they are perfect for walking to classes, shopping, or anything for that matter! Besides, they are very cute!

Most comfortable shoes ever - I love Chacos! I've got narrow, rather flat feet and these are amazingly comfortable. It takes some practice to get the straps adjusted just right, but I've never had any problem with the toe loop tightening like some other reviewers. They're great for hiking or water sports and the Jupiter color is really pretty (well, as pretty as Chacos get!).

Didn't work for me. I need a lighter weight sandal with a flexible sole. These straps are adjustable which would be great for my narrow feet, but I need softer straps. I can imagine these sandals would work very well for most people - I have very picky feet.

A paradise of casual comfort. I have barely taken this shoe off since it arrived and then only reluctantly. It is possibly the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn and that's high praise coming from a Birkenstock girl. There are only two things I don't like about them, the plastic footbed, which does not breathe, thereby creating a sweaty foot problem (a small price to pay for big comfort), and the overall look of the shoe is a little masculine. I would love to see this shoe with a leather sole and more feminine shape and buckle design.

Great, comfortable shoe!! I normally wear a 7 1/2 or 8 and I took a 7. The first pair I got regular and the straps were barely long enough. The next pair I got 7Wide and the straps are longer but same shoe base. Perfect!! Great walking, street or sand!!

Worth the Money - Read all reviews for water sandals for a trip to Jamaica. Decided on Chaco's because of the good reviews. Some said they run big, since they don't come in 1/2 sizes ordered a size small, WRONG. They run true to size. Did Mayfields Falls in Jamaica and they were wonderful, and half the people I saw on snorkeling tours had the crossovers tan lines and had raves for them.

Ecological, Comfortable, and Attractive - This is my second pair of Unaweep Z/2 Chacos. My first pair was an 8 men’s, as the store did not carry a women's wide. This pair, a 10 wide women's fits just as well. The Atlantis strapping is beautiful; the arch support is very supportive without being too firm. I have owned my first pair of Chaco Z/2s for over three years and they get a great deal of wear as my daily footwear and light hiking shoes. I have had them resoled twice and restrapped by Chaco for a reasonable price and terrific workmanship. The Z/2 is very comfortable, once you get used to the toe loop. I need the extra stability for hiking and cycling. It is very durable, and as a sport sandal goes, stylish and actually kind of sexy and feminine. I used to wear Birkenstocks because they are so good for your feet, but I hate the rather clumpy look of the original sandals. I feel I get the same sort of support from the Chaco Z/2, but it is a more versatile shoe, great for walking everywhere. The only downside to this shoe is that because the shoe bed is a polymer, the shoes and my feet stink terribly after a couple of days of wearing them. However, these shoes are completely waterproof and I clean them down with baking soda and a brush in the tub or wash them in the machine. A very durable, ecological shoe because of its ability to be resoled and restrapped. Zappos did a great job of shipping this shoe. Kudos to Zappos!

My feet are as flat as they come and are becoming more painful as I age. This is the ONLY SANDAL I can wear. I have to use custom orthotics for all other shoes and can't wear anything non supportive for any length of time. Even standing bare foot is usually painful. I do not have troubles with the strap strangling my toe like I have read about, in either double strap/single strap Chaco style. I will be buying many more pairs of these shoes, THEY ARE WONDERFUL! Worth every cent. Zappos is awesome because of the free shipping/return you can order one pair and if the size is incorrect simply return and try again. I hope the Chacos help your feet like they have helped mine!

You’ll love them - I pulled these out of the box and wore them to an amusement park they felt great. I have heard the straps loosen as you wear them, I haven't had that problem. I was afraid the ribbon would get dirty fast. The whole sole can be dusty and the ribbons stay clean.

Wonderful for flat feet! I have the flattest feet my podiatrist has ever seen, and I used to wear Birkenstocks religiously until the Dr. told me to find shoes that hold my feet together more. I have had large flat feet my whole life and have never found a good pair of open sandals until I found these. I absolutely love these and they provide just as much support and comfort as a well loved pair of Birks. You will not be sorry if you have flat feet and are in search of a sandal that won't kill your feet. They're durable and you can replace the worn down or broken parts of the shoe. Definitely a good investment!

I've had my Chaco Z/2s for over 6 years now. I wore them nonstop all summer as a camp counselor during each of those 6 years and I haven't had to resole them yet. They are by far my favorite shoes of all time. I got my shoes when Chaco only had about 3 colors and 2 styles for women to choose from, and since they've expanded their line, I have purchased several more styles and colors. As a music teacher on a cart (I travel from room to room daily) who has fallen arches, I wear these whenever it's seasonally acceptable and my feet don't ever bother me. I wore them to hike the Virginia section of the AT, I wear them in the water, I wear them to exercise...you get the idea. The only problem I have had with them is that after years of wearing them everywhere, including in the Chesapeake Bay, there is some sand inside the soles that keeps me from adjusting the toe strap if it feels too tight. However, it's nothing that couldn't be fixed by resoling.

They're fine, but I don't love them - If I had it to do over, I'd probably look elsewhere. The sandals do offer good support and stand up to hours of walking, but the straps need constant adjustment and if they are not adjusted just right, they rub after awhile. They also tend to kick up dirt and gravel if you're on a dirt path, which then gets stuck on the footbed and one's foot. They look fine, maybe even good in a crunchy granola kind of way. I like them, they serve me well, but I don't love them… and for the price, I feel like I should.

Even after reading all the reviews I had to give these a try. After "playing" with the strap for over 1/2 hour, I gave up and sent them back. I could never find the right comfort level and they were too expensive to sit in my closet. The concept is cool – it just didn't work for me. I have a high instep and lots of heel problems. Zappos is wonderful; returns w/o question and they make it so easy. Been shopping here since 2005 and will continue.

All this and awesome delivery--received them in approx. 17 hours, 40 minutes from the time I placed my on-line order-WOW!!!

Stays secure - Mixed review of Chaco. Love the way it stays secure on foot, never sloppy. Good for walking trails, but not all day. I wish for a little more cushion, and the diamond patterned footbed can irritate feet after a while. The other problem is the strap is too long and would drag on the ground if I didn't tuck it somewhere. Overall for all day wear I'd prefer a good pair of walking shoes unless it's really hot outside, then this sandal would be better. They are pricey so unless I found them on sale, would probably not buy them again.

So uncomfortable! These are horrible shoes! The adjustment doesn't stay adjusted, although I've tried many times and made sure it seems secure...Like someone else said, as you walk in them, the toe area gets tighter and tighter no matter how you had it adjusted, and by the end of just a 1/2 hour walk, your toes and upper feet have deep red strap marks on them. The footbed is also SO uncomfortable! It's way too hard, there's no give at all, and the criss-cross pattern rubs horribly, even if I put them on tight so my foot shouldn't move around, my foot still moves ever so slightly and rubs. I get blisters if I wear them for an hour or more, unless I wear them really loose, and that's no good for most active activities. I also have a pair of Teva’s that I love, and I just bought these to have another color of sandal, but geez, I can't wear them for any active things, which is what they should be used for. I only wear them on very light grocery shopping trips, since my feet can't even stand a full day in them. Don't buy Chaco’s - try Teva’s or something else.

The everywhere shoe - This is the shoe I wear when I don't know where the day will take me. I am comfortable in them all day and they support my feet well. They are lightweight, but often too clunky looking to wear with a skirt. I am usually a size 8, but a 7 fits me.
