Great all-around shoe! I bought these shoes primarily for work. I work on a marine research vessel and am required to wear close-toed shoes, so these offer a perfect blend when you want to wear sandals, but also have a little more protection. Positives: These shoes were comfortable from day 1 and required little breaking in. They are some of the most comfortable shoes I've owned and my feet rarely get sore, even though I am on my feet all day. I just bought my second pair of Keen Newports. Negatives: If you wear them hiking, sometimes dirt and pebbles get caught in the toes and since the toe is closed, you often have to take them off to get the pebbles out. Also, the "anti-odor" footbed isn't always anti-odor. The shoes don't smell after use, but your feet might, especially if you're using them in the water. Sizing is different on every pair... the ones I owned first were a 7 and the new ones I bought are a 7.5, so make sure you try more than one size. The leather will stretch, but if you buy the H2 style (nylon), they won't.

Wonderful - I have an active job in the healthcare field where I go into people's homes. It is nice to have a closed toe shoe that is also cool in the summer. I washed them in the washer too and they held up well. Order a half size bigger.

Most amazing sandal EVER - I have very tender feet, especially when it's humid out. My feet have been completely shredded by sandals that I've worn for years, much less new ones. I wore these (without wearing them in around the house at all) for the first time on a hot and humid day to the zoo, first time wearing a sandal for the year, and I didn't get a single blister or even a sore spot. Also, my feet were not tired at all at the end of the day. I even got the chance to try out their wash ability that day, because when I got home there was some kind of stuff stuck to the bottom of one (gum?) along with some lettuce (probably from the turtle area at the zoo!). I soaked them in a tub for a few minutes with a little bit of laundry soap and then rinsed them off. Perfect. Washing them didn't change them in any way, and they dried quickly. These blew me away! If I could afford it (they are so expensive!) I'd get them in every color. I had never seen the Keen sandals before, but ever since I got mine, I am seeing them everywhere. Several people at work have them now, too. I highly recommend them. Note: I have very narrow feet, and I thought that would be an issue with these, but they fit perfectly.

I like it - I bought this shoe because I needed a sandal with a closed toe for work. It's perfect. They look a little clunky at first but I quickly got used to it as they are very comfortable. I have high arches and the support is good.

These shoes are AWESOME - Comfortable right out of the box, great for everyday wear or for climbing and hiking!! Love these SO much I ordered a different style of Keens. All I want to wear are Keens!! Be sure and order a half size larger. Oh yea...I get lots of compliments on how cool these shoes look on!!! Can't go wrong with Keens!!! Awesome color, matches the mountains and rocks here in Zions Park.

Look closely before you buy! I think these shoes look great - love the toe box. They run very wide, which leads to the ball of my foot sliding around - which hurts a great deal after awhile! Socks help, but it isn't great to have sandals in which I have to wear socks! No arch support - leads to heel pain as well. Guess this was $ down the drain - I've switched back to my favorite Merrell's, which also have a similar type shoe. Won't buy Keen's again!

Worth the price! I just purchased the Keen Newport Sandals. Great Product! I have difficulty with shoes because my feel swell during the day. I also have very flat feet and my feet tend to get sore very quickly. Right out of the box the Newports fit like a glove. I wore them for about four hours at home and the next day went grocery shopping and had them on for many hours without a break. My feet DID NOT get sore! Due to the back sandal strap it kept my foot in place. No slipping around. I do have a rather wide foot and this shoe seemed just a little snug at first. Feels better when you wear a sock with it. Otherwise the leather is stretching out nicely. My mother-in-law just purchased the Keen Venice and that shoe is definitely wider than the Newports. (She usually wears EE width shoes). She's pleased with them. Says they are very comfortable and she has Rheumatoid Arthritis. When I tried the Venice ones on, they DID run a half a size bigger. And were roomier in the width than Newports. Keen shoes are definitely worth the money. You pay for what you get! And Zappos has a great store with an excellent return policy. Great for people, like me, who hate going shoe shopping at malls.

Love these shoes - I love these shoes. I wear a 9.5 and ordered a 9.5 and it took a few days to break them in. But once I did I haven’t taken them off, even on rainy days! I can hardly wait to buy my second pair but will probably order a 10. I have high arches and a wide foot and a lot of shoes in this style don't fit but these do. I love the stretchiness of the leather and you can put these in the washing machine. Very happy with Keens as I do a lot of walking.

Great Sandals! These shoes are really comfortable right out of the box. They look a little funky, but I like that. They are not heavy or clunky. Beware- I had to order a full size larger than what I wear and they fit great. Excellent arch support and wide enough for all 5 toes!!

Keen Newport & Antigua- I'm in love! Being a shoe junkie, these are a real fix! Right out of the box my feet were so happy. Wish I had found these sooner. More will be ordered in other styles. I also got the Antigua because I'm supposed to wear support in the house when I am usually barefoot. This summer they will both be put to the ultimate test when we go to our many car shows and swap meets. As usual, Zappos is the BEST place to shop for products and service.

Size is a little off, but still a great shoe - This is without a doubt, a comfortable shoe. However it is most definitly marked aleast half a size small. I am a true 8 and in the store tried on the 8.5. Took it home, and after wearing for about half hour, the rubber part that covers toe began to painfully squash my big toe! Returned shoe for a 9. It is a little roomy now, but at least my toe is comfortable.

Too expensive for a 68 year old lady - I own two pair of Keens and my husband owns three pairs. I would love to show off the Newport sku7183974/ I live on the Arkansas in Buena Vista and I would be great advertisement wearing them in my community at coffee shops and after bicycles rides. My Husband use to guide on the Arkansas. How about a sale on these shoes. I like the red color.

Great walking sandals - Just got back from a week's vacation in New York City, and these shoes are great! I bought them a couple of months ago for this trip and wore them several times to make sure they would be comfortable. The first couple of times I wore them they rubbed a little on the top of my foot. I put on a band-aid and readjusted the top tie a little and no more problems. Now they don't rub at all. These walked all over NYC for upt to 10 hrs. a day, and they were very comfortable. My feet didn't get too hot either. Got caught in one rainstorm and they dried very quickly. We also walked all around Central Park (and off the trail in one place & they grip well). I will take these shoes on any vacation trips I take in the future. I have very narrow feet and the 7M worked well.

Great relief for my chronic achilles tendonosis - I have battled with Achilles tendonosis for two years and kept saying if I could only find a way to keep pressure on the inside of my heel, I would feel much better. I ordered these on line and Zappos had them here in two days. Once they were on my feet, I couldn't believe the difference!! I have walking almost pain free for three weeks now. When I got them, I didn't wear any other shoes for two weeks. They were so comfortable, I couldn't believe it. Besides that, I love the way they look and have had more complements on these than any other shoes I ever wore. I have given the Zappos.com address to more total strangers that have asked me where I got the shoes. I can't say enough good about them. I will be ordering another pair very soon. Thanks Zappos.

Worth every penny - I am a teacher, and after spraining my ankle twice this past year while wearing clogs, the school nurse demanded that I wear flat shoes. I bought these, and not only are they amazingly comfortable if you're on your feet all day, but they will take you anywhere you want to go (Puerto Rico, the Berkshires, Providence). I am also impressed by how quickly they dry after severe storms. I will definitely invest in more Keen shoes.

Great pair of shoes. My first pair of Keens, bought the Newports. Ordered a half size larger after reading reviews, they are just a little too big, but I think if I ordered my regular size the shoes would have been too small. Still very comfortable and stylish. can wear them all day and not have tired feet. Love how rugged and durable, but can wear with nicer clothes too.

Great Shoe - I am an orthopedic physical therapist and an avid hiker, but I have terrible feet. Consequently, I am always on the look out for a good product to wear or to recommend to my patients. I needed a pair of water sandals for an upcoming backpacking trip through Paria Canyon in AZ. I have flat feet and bunions and frequently battle shin splints (always wear a custom made orthotic in my shoes), so I am a tough fit. I was concerned about buying a pair of shoes on line (not ever having tried on a pair of Keens before), but Zappos free return shipping gave me the confidence to go ahead and try out these shoes. The shoes arrived about 2 days after I ordered them. I loved the look of them (I ordered the ink blue...they are a little more of a pale greenish-blue, not really "ink blue", but I really like the color) and they literally fit me like a glove immediately. I wore them walking to and from work the next day (round trip, 4 miles- lots of hills and gravel) without any difficulty. The next day, I wore them hiking West Fork of Oak Creek in Sedona, AZ (a rocky, water hike)- the shoes did great...they provided good traction, good arch support and great protection for my toes. They do tend to collect small rocks/sand (which was rather bothersome), but are easy to slip on and off, so I could get the rocks out quickly. We hiked about 10-12 miles that day in the water and my feet felt great. So, overall, I am pleased with these shoes. From a physical therapist stand point- I would suggest these for anyone who is looking for a shoe with good arch support/toe protection. They are easy to adjust to and relatively no "breaking in" time is required. The toe box feels a bit rigid when you first start walking in them, but this is a minor sacrifice for the protection they provide. Great product!

Love at first wearing!!! Preparing for a trip to Panama in which we were traveling as light as possible. I wanted to only take one pair of shoes- one pair that would do for hiking, riding in boats swimming in rivers and even for snorkeling(I'm a weenie when it comes to going barefoot even in the safest of environs!)so when I ordered my Keens Newport ON SALE!!And one half size larger(thanks!to others who left a reviews) and they arrived amazingly one day later(we live in the mountains of the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia)I was already impressed and then when I put them on. I too didn't want to take them off!! They were definitely the perfect shoe for our adventure and they took the mud water and everything and everywhere. We went looking great the whole time...even in the cities and airport I felt well dressed!! Do yourself a favor! Thanks! Zappos I will be buying more...I'm thinking I can wear them in the winter with socks!!! The only negative thing I can think of to say about them is your feet can heat up a bit in a real hot environment. Thanks for reading.

I have very narrow feet, so was hesitant to try these, but am not sorry. They are so comfortable, right out of the box--no break-in at all. They aren't feminine to look at, but comfort makes up for that. I wanted my toes enclosed. I'll enjoy these for years to come!

Wish they felt as good as they look - These sandals seems like they'd be the best for a summer of hiking, biking and occasional bouts of water. I love the way they look and felt for the most part, but after an hour of wear they dug enormous holes in the backs of my heels! Now I have to wait for my blisters to heal before I can continue to break in these sandals- what a drag.

I am blown away... Less than 48 hours ago, I was scouring the web looking for a deal on Keen Newport sandals and Zappos popped up. I must have spent 3 hours reading reviews and assessing this site. I decided to order the shoes. In less than 2 days, the shoes arrived and have been on my feet ever since. Zappos even upgraded my shipping for free! I've never had such awesome service online and will always buy my shoes here! As for the Keen Newports, lets just say that in a perfect world, I would never take them off! From the moment I first slipped the shoe on, I could hardly believe how unbelievably comfortable they were. This from a girl who loves her shoes and owns some of the most comfy brands (Dansko, Naot) on the planet. Keen tops them all. As for the reviews that mention they run a 1/2 size small, I took a chance and ordered my regular size and they fit perfectly. I think the toe guard wrapping up can throw you off but once you get used to the feeling, there is no turning back. Kudos to Zappos and I LOVE my Keens!

I wore them for about four hours at home and the next day went grocery shopping and had them on for many hours without a break. My feet DID NOT get sore! Due to the back sandal strap it kept my foot in place. No slipping around. I do have a rather wide foot and this shoe seemed just a little snug at first. Feels better when you wear a sock with it. Otherwise the leather is stretching out nicely. My mother-in-law just purchased the Keen Venice and that shoe is definitely wider than the Newports. (She usually wears EE width shoes). She's pleased with them. Says they are very comfortable and she has Rheumatoid Arthritis. When I tried the Venice ones on, they DID run a half a size bigger. And were roomier in the width than Newports. Keen shoes are definitely worth the money. You pay for what you get! And Zappos has a great store with an excellent return policy. Great for people, like me, who hate going shoe shopping at malls.

Love these shoes - I love these shoes. I wear a 9.5 and ordered a 9.5 and it took a few days to break them in. But once I did I haven’t taken them off, even on rainy days! I can hardly wait to buy my second pair but will probably order a 10. I have high arches and a wide foot and a lot of shoes in this style don't fit but these do. I love the stretchiness of the leather and you can put these in the washing machine. Very happy with Keens as I do a lot of walking.

Great Sandals! These shoes are really comfortable right out of the box. They look a little funky, but I like that. They are not heavy or clunky. Beware- I had to order a full size larger than what I wear and they fit great. Excellent arch support and wide enough for all 5 toes!!

Keen Newport & Antigua- I'm in love! Being a shoe junkie, these are a real fix! Right out of the box my feet were so happy. Wish I had found these sooner. More will be ordered in other styles. I also got the Antigua because I'm supposed to wear support in the house when I am usually barefoot. This summer they will both be put to the ultimate test when we go to our many car shows and swap meets. As usual, Zappos is the BEST place to shop for products and service.

Size is a little off, but still a great shoe - This is without a doubt, a comfortable shoe. However it is most definitly marked aleast half a size small. I am a true 8 and in the store tried on the 8.5. Took it home, and after wearing for about half hour, the rubber part that covers toe began to painfully squash my big toe! Returned shoe for a 9. It is a little roomy now, but at least my toe is comfortable.

Too expensive for a 68 year old lady - I own two pair of Keens and my husband owns three pairs. I would love to show off the Newport sku7183974/ I live on the Arkansas in Buena Vista and I would be great advertisement wearing them in my community at coffee shops and after bicycles rides. Great walking sandals - Just got back from a week's vacation in New York City, and these shoes are great! I bought them a couple of months ago for this trip and wore them several times to make sure they would be comfortable. The first couple of times I wore them they rubbed a little on the top of my foot. I put on a band-aid and readjusted the top tie a little and no more problems. Now they don't rub at all. These walked all over NYC for upt to 10 hrs. a day, and they were very comfortable. My feet didn't get too hot either. Got caught in one rainstorm and they dried very quickly. We also walked all around Central Park (and off the trail in one place & they grip well). I will take these shoes on any vacation trips I take in the future. I have very narrow feet and the 7M worked well.

Great relief for my chronic achilles tendonosis - I have battled with Achilles tendonosis for two years and kept saying if I could only find a way to keep pressure on the inside of my heel, I would feel much better. I ordered these on line and Zappos had them here in two days. Once they were on my feet, I couldn't believe the difference!! I have walking almost pain free for three weeks now. When I got them, I didn't wear any other shoes for two weeks. They were so comfortable, I couldn't believe it. Besides that, I love the way they look and have had more complements on these than any other shoes I ever wore. I have given the Zappos.com address to more total strangers that have asked me where I got the shoes. I can't say enough good about them. I will be ordering another pair very soon. Thanks Zappos.

Worth every penny - I am a teacher, and after spraining my ankle twice this past year while wearing clogs, the school nurse demanded that I wear flat shoes. I bought these, and not only are they amazingly comfortable if you're on your feet all day, but they will take you anywhere you want to go (Puerto Rico, the Berkshires, Providence). I am also impressed by how quickly they dry after severe storms. I will definitely invest in more Keen shoes.

Great pair of shoes. My first pair of Keens, bought the Newports. Ordered a half size larger after reading reviews, they are just a little too big, but I think if I ordered my regular size the shoes would have been too small. Still very comfortable and stylish. can wear them all day and not have tired feet. Love how rugged and durable, but can wear with nicer clothes too.

Great Shoe - I am an orthopedic physical therapist and an avid hiker, but I have terrible feet. Consequently, I am always on the look out for a good product to wear or to recommend to my patients. I needed a pair of water sandals for an upcoming backpacking trip through Paria Canyon in AZ. I have flat feet and bunions and frequently battle shin splints (always wear a custom made orthotic in my shoes), so I am a tough fit. I was concerned about buying a pair of shoes on line (not ever having tried on a pair of Keens before), but Zappos free return shipping gave me the confidence to go ahead and try out these shoes. The shoes arrived about 2 days after I ordered them. I loved the look of them (I ordered the ink blue...they are a little more of a pale greenish-blue, not really "ink blue", but I really like the color) and they literally fit me like a glove immediately. I wore them walking to and from work the next day (round trip, 4 miles- lots of hills and gravel) without any difficulty. The next day, I wore them hiking West Fork of Oak Creek in Sedona, AZ (a rocky, water hike)- the shoes did great...they provided good traction, good arch support and great protection for my toes. They do tend to collect small rocks/sand (which was rather bothersome), but are easy to slip on and off, so I could get the rocks out quickly. We hiked about 10-12 miles that day in the water and my feet felt great. So, overall, I am pleased with these shoes. From a physical therapist stand point- I would suggest these for anyone who is looking for a shoe with good arch support/toe protection. They are easy to adjust to and relatively no "breaking in" time is required. The toe box feels a bit rigid when you first start walking in them, but this is a minor sacrifice for the protection they provide. Great product!

Love at first wearing!!! Preparing for a trip to Panama in which we were traveling as light as possible. I wanted to only take one pair of shoes- one pair that would do for hiking, riding in boats swimming in rivers and even for snorkeling(I'm a weenie when it comes to going barefoot even in the safest of environs!)so when I ordered my Keens Newport ON SALE!!And one half size larger(thanks!to others who left a reviews) and they arrived amazingly one day later(we live in the mountains of the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia)I was already impressed and then when I put them on. I too didn't want to take them off!! They were definitely the perfect shoe for our adventure and they took the mud water and everything and everywhere. We went looking great the whole time...even in the cities and airport I felt well dressed!! Do yourself a favor! Thanks! Zappos I will be buying more...I'm thinking I can wear them in the winter with socks!!! I have very narrow feet, so was hesitant to try these, but am not sorry. They are so comfortable, right out of the box--no break-in at all. They aren't feminine to look at, but comfort makes up for that. I wanted my toes enclosed. I'll enjoy these for years to come!

Wish they felt as good as they look - These sandals seems like they'd be the best for a summer of hiking, biking and occasional bouts of water. I love the way they look and felt for the most part, but after an hour of wear they dug enormous holes in the backs of my heels! Now I have to wait for my blisters to heal before I can continue to break in these sandals- what a drag.

I am blown away... Less than 48 hours ago, I was scouring the web looking for a deal on Keen Newport sandals and Zappos popped up. I must have spent 3 hours reading reviews and assessing this site. I decided to order the shoes. In less than 2 days, the shoes arrived and have been on my feet ever since. Zappos even upgraded my shipping for free! I've never had such awesome service online and will always buy my shoes here! As for the Keen Newports, lets just say that in a perfect world, I would never take them off! From the moment I first slipped the shoe on, I could hardly believe how unbelievably comfortable they were. This from a girl who loves her shoes and owns some of the most comfy brands (Dansko, Naot) on the planet. Keen tops them all. As for the reviews that mention they run a 1/2 size small, I took a chance and ordered my regular size and they fit perfectly. I think the toe guard wrapping up can throw you off but once you get used to the feeling, there is no turning back. Kudos to Zappos and I LOVE my Keens!
