If you are seeking a cushioned, comfortable ride for your running or jogging excursions, of course it\'s important to pick the right shoes. But another big factor is: socks. Who knew? These Thorlos have substantial structure and depth. Together with appropriate shoes, they can insulate your feet from the significant shock forces involved in even casual running. Just don\'t wear them to the office, the job market is just too tight these days.

Great padding in a sport sock - I was recommended the Thorlos brand by a salesperson at both a running & a comfort/orthopedic shoe store. I'm on my feet all day at work and the cushioning is tremendous. Since they are so thick, they don't work with every shoe, but are great for running/hiking shoes.

Super Cushy - I love these socks. Got them after getting incredibly sore, blistered feet from power walking 10 miles in cotton socks. These super thick, cushy socks work for me. No more cotton!

Finally, socks that fit well - I almost didn't purchase these because of the price. But after years of forcing my size 15's into socks that are made to fit 9-13, I decided to take the plunge. I'm glad I did. These are well padded and very comfortable. If I could find this same sock that wasn't "two toned" I would be set for life.

Can't live without these socks! I wore my feet out, walking, jogging and my work. I have spurs on the soles of my feet from stress dating back 20 yrs. A stranger was trying on shoes and commented on the socks. She told me where to go to buy them. I bought one pair, thinking they were too expensive. I went back for two more pair and a year later bought more than a dozen pair. That was twenty years ago and the socks are holding up well. I mended a few pair, afraid I couldn't find more. Buy your shoes a 1/2 sz. larger. Thanks ZAPPOS!

Quite surprised - For the price, I was expecting a miracle sock. The biggest problem I had with the Thorlos Running socks is the stench. I have very normal feet, not exceptionally sweaty, but with the California heat, these sopped it up like a sponge, and smelled terrible after only a couple hours of use. I found the socks very ugly as casual wear (which shouldn't influence your decision, just a note) and the extra padding is bulky and sometimes uncomfortable, and begins to fray after the first day of wear - however they do reduce the impact of running, which doesn't make a lot of difference if you buy a nice pair of shoes. They work fine as running socks, but I would not recommend them for the price.

Running smooth - I highly recommend this brand of sock. I get them for working out at the gym and walking/jogging. I now have about 7 pair and love them. They are so comfortable because of the extra padding where you need it most.

Great Sock - I run Ultras and have done a number of 100s. A good sock is a key component for a successful ultra run. Thorlos are the best socks. I use them in conjunction with an Ingingi toe sock and have finished most of my races with no foot problems. These are very long wear socks and provide a great deal of padding where it is needed. Don't be turned off by the price. You will be wearing these socks long after others have been thrown away. They are well worth the price. I won't use any other crew sock for my running.

Great Socks! You can't beat the durability and comfort of Thorlos. They are worth the extra expense. They aren't the sexiest sock (er, can socks BE sexy?!?!!), but they keep my feet happy mile after mile.

Best Socks for Your Feet - I first discovered Thorlos back in 1997 when I was training for the Bataan Memorial Death March (26.2 miles in White Sands, NM). Back then I only wore the military boot socks, but then I started wearing the hiking and running socks. I refuse to wear anything else. They are by far the best socks that you can buy for your feet. I've never gotten blisters on my feet and they feel great!

Thorlos rock your socks off! I can't recommend these highly enough. They're expensive, but worth it if you're a high mileage or a marathon-training runner. They are super thick and cushioned along the heel, toe bed and the arch. I'm marathon training and I won't run in anything else--I've never had a blister running in these. They hold up well too - I machine wash and dry (turning the socks inside out to fluff the cushion) these every time I run and they still look and perform as if they were new. If anything, they get more comfortable. I do not recommend using fabric softeners of any type with these though - the chemicals in them seem to mat down the cushioning a bit. One other thing to note - the cushioning on these is so thick that the running shoes I wear with them I buy a half size larger. My normal size is too tight with these socks. I recommend you test out these socks with the shoes you plan to wear with them so you can adjust accordingly.

A sock to die for! I found this sock years ago and didn't buy anything else thereafter. Was very disappointed when I could no longer find them locally, but couldn't remember the brand name. Today a merchant told me the brand name when I described them, so I immediately ordered them from Zappos. I have trouble standing on hard floors for long periods of time, so the extra cushioning is greatly appreciated. Give these a try - trust me, you will wind up living in them!

3,500 and Still Counting - I have put well over 3,500 hard, all weather miles on one pair of Thorlos running socks and they still work great! I ware them all the time even when I'm not running. Discovering Thorlos is the best thing I ever did for my feet. I just wish they could be found in all stores selling socks so everyone could benefit from the best socks ever made. I feel so sorry for any runner when I see them buying another brand. We could all use a little blister prevention. In this case an ounce of prevention can take you over 3,500 miles. Thanks Thorlos!

Thorlos Running Crew - I have used Thorlo Running Crew socks for 15 years, and have never had a blister since. As my grandfather would say, these are the "cats meow" of socks!!
