Awesome boots, wore them in Alaska last week in 10 degree weather and feet never got cold. Can\'t wait to wear them again on my future trips to Alaska in below zero temperatures. Bought a 1/2 size up and they fit great. Versatile and stylish to wear outdoors as well as a pair of slacks in the office.

Just the right size - I ordered them a size larger, but returned those for my exact size - they fit just fine even with heavy socks.

Great Snow Hiker - Fit true to size, 12-D heavy sock. A Zappos Representative recommended this boot. Order was place 9AM and received 2PM the next day! Warm enough and light enough to hike for 3 days in central Iowa in l4 inches of snow. Temps 5-30 degrees. Replace flat laces (they cut cold fingers) with round leather 54" and you are good to go. Very good fit with good traction.

Yoosta be a Yooper - Boot was REALLY tight when I first tried on. Got better quickly. Felt fine the 2nd day. I ordered my size & returned to get size larger. A little stiff but still breaking in. Great service! Ordered one night, boots were here the next. I don't think I could do that locally. Return was sooo easy. Thanks!

Snug - Get a size up only if your toes need the space. Going up a 1/2 size doesn't effect width. Its a snug snug boot. Couldnt wear this boot with thick sox. Maybe in time Ill be able to as the boots stretch. If your feet require breathing room... maybe reconsider. My Baltoro HVs are a bit roomier (but don't look as sweet). McMurdos are so snug. But never "tight". So Im enjoying them so far. Theyre great on.

More insight on a great boot - I almost agree with "reviewer from NY" True: you get slightly more toe space with extra .5 in the length BUT ZILCH in width (by sizing up). And it is an issue of width. It is a very, very snug boot but never tight. Thick sox were too much for me-- maybe better in the future as insulation mats. Snugness is disconcerting but never uncomfortable. Going to a wide width could be far too much if you are reg. I went back and forth with 10 -10.5 for nearly 30mins. In the end I stuck with reg size; just seemed immediately "truer" and just having the extra toe room was useless really. So, Caution: very, very true to size! Not a boot for 'claustrophobic feet'. Still, I'm so in love with this boot--just wish for a tiny smidge more in width.

Great boot - warm & comfortable - This is exactly the winter boot I've been looking for. It combines comfort, warmth, and practicality (waterproof for when I go skiing or ice fishing or any winter activity).

great boot from North Face and great service from Zappos - I bought these boots on a whim while I was Snowboarding in MT. All I had for the snow were my skate shoes or my snowboard boots. The boots are AWESOME! No snow or cold gets through these! Super comfy, I hiked all over Yellowstone in the snow and my feet were happy all day long.

DEFINITELY order a larger size - I ordered these boot in my size, I am always a 9. When I got them, the length for a 9 was correct, but they were too tight. I sent them back and got a 9.5 and the fit is perfect. Its really the width that is a problem I think, but the slightly larger size is perfect. Believe people when they say that in their reviews to order larger. If you have normal width feet, get a larger size.

Excellent Boot - These are a very good boot and feel great on my feet. They were just a little snug at first but after wearing for a few minutes they seemed to stretch just enough to make them very comfortable. These are a keeper for me. I wear a size 10 M.

Great Winter Snow Boots! Just received them prior to a big snow storm. They were comfortable to wear straight out of the box. My feet stayed warm and dry through 2 hours of snow shoveling. Great product from a great company. Would definitely recommend The North Face brand.

Awesome Boots! I wore these boots all day in 15 degree weather, in 2 feet of Colorado snow, and my feet never got cold! I have rhuematoid arthritis and it is hard to find a boot that is comfortable AND warm, but these definitely were both. The sizing is accurate and easily accomadated a small orthotic.
