Great coat. Traveled in Rome at the beginning of November. This was a great outer layer; looked dressy, but served as a casual coat as well. It's a great coat for work and it washes beautifully.

Going to Italy last week of October & 1st week of November & needed a stylish weather resistant coat of some sort. Didn't want to spend the money for it, but I'm glad I did! The length was perfect. This fit in well in Milan, Florence, Rome, Naples. I was able to layer it when needed & use its hood or zip it off. Had lots of pockets inside for tickets, passport, money etc. They were all out of a small & I hesitantly purchased the XS because I was desperate. I am 5'6", 122 lbs. & it fit nicely. Worth the investment. It is made extremely well. This will last a long time.

This is a nice, mid-weight raincoat with a great cut for casual or business look and a very functional hood which stays put. I found it to run large. I ordered a medium and returned it for a small and I still have room for a thick sweater or fleece under it. The bad news: the velcro on the sleeves gets stuck on everything from sweaters to gloves to scarves, even to the other velcro on the front enclosure, which is frustrating.\r\n

I bought this coat to have a trench coat looking rain jacket. I have been wearing this on a daily basis since the day it arrived. Not only is it a very stylish coat, but it's waterproof as well. I am a curvy size 6 or 8, and the small fit me very well. I'm planning on taking this coat on vacation, since it's functional and dressy. Worth the price. It even has several functioning pockets on the inner liner, as well as the two outer hand pockets, all that zip shut.

I just got my Women's Destination jacket and it is great! They should add in the description that it has a double zipper, which makes getting into your pants pockets easier and keeps your personal items more secure in crowds. The jacket does run a little large, which is good for layering. It really is a great looking jacket with lots of possibilities. I intend on getting it in black as well. Little pricey, but worth it. Cannot wait to try it out & lots of Thanks to the Zappos team. Always a pleasure.

The only reason I might return this item is because of the velcro. I usually refuse to buy jackets with velcro because it tends to snag sweaters and fleece; however, I might make an exception for this jacket. I decided to try it after reading other reviews. I have ordered and returned several products because they turned out to be just overpriced slickers or windbreakers. This jacket is pricey but I think you perhaps get a little more for your money. It is very lightweight but has a nice lining which makes it easy to take on and off over your clothes. The outer fabric is not too sticky and swishy like some rain jackets. It actually has a nice soft feel to it. It will fold up compactly for travel and to stow in my daypack - something you cannot do when traveling with a traditional trench. I am a tall size 8-10 and ordered the medium which fits just great and still has plenty of room to add layers underneath if the weather is colder. Plenty of length in the arms and no belts to lose. Hood rolls up or zips off. You could easily tuck it in a pocket since hoods tend to get in the way when you are carrying a daypack. If I can get over the velcro hang-up I plan to use it for a late spring trip to eastern Europe.

Perfect for Travel - This lightweight yet warm and waterproof jacket is ideal for travel. The best feature is the fitted styling that makes the jacket look less like outdoor wear and more like a coat you could get away with over evening wear as well when packing space is at a premium. Without the bulk of belts, detailing and extra heavy fabric, you can move more freely whether picture taking, trail walking or cab exiting. It is fitted but moves with you and gives a nice silhouette. When I purchased it, I wished it had been a bit more reasonably priced, but I have found it to be worth every penny.

Great travel layer - The coat definitely blocks the wind. In Oregon's snow storms I wore this over a sweater and a fleece jacket. This is not a long coat; for heavy snow storms and cold you need layers on your legs as well. I southern California I wear this over my clothes as a rain coat. The hood stays up without fussing. I have another hooded rain coat and the hood is a big fumble to get up and then falls down at will. This coat also packs light and small. I highly recommend.

Marmot Destination Jacket - This jacket perfectly fits my needs for a stylish, waterproof, lightweight, packable rain coat. It is both dressy and casual. I bought a small, but would normally wear a medium. Zappos is still the best for range of products and customer service!!!

Stylish but practical jacket - Very chic in appearance with a sporty look too. Great rain jacket and windbreaker. Perfect for these warmer winter days in New York when the heavy down coat is just too heavy and bulky. The fit is very flattering. Quality is very obvious in the stitching, material and cut.

This one's a keeper! After trying both The North Face Grace and this coat, I found I liked this one better. This is designed to be a standalone coat while lighter TNF trench necessitates taking extra layers for when the temperature drops. It's also more slimming because it's streamlined - it looks like a lady coat with a shawl collar when the hood is down. The trick is to go at least one size down and loosen the belt if needed. I normally wear a medium or an 8 and found the XS a little snug on the chest but otherwise fits fine elsewhere. Another advantage over TNF jacket: velcro closures can secure the cuffs and the zipper flap, great for staying warm and dry when the wind is howling. The only tradeoff? As it's a warmer coat, it's much less compressible than TNF which can be rolled up into a small ball (weight-wise, however, Marmot's Destination coat is only 5 ounces heavier). Overall, a classic, well-made coat which should last for years.

Sent it Back - I was looking for a rain shell to wear to work to keep me dryer than my jacket shell does. Though this jacket looked nice online, but it was absolutely shapeless. It is really a trapeze shape, which I don't like. The design was not up to par for a Marmot. I went with the North Face Grace jacket instead. Zappos was amazing as ever, though, and I am a customer for life. Thanks!!!

Attractive coat that goes casual and slightly dressy - Nice coat that you can wear with jeans. Can be dressed up a bit too. Pretty warm, comfy in the wind and down to freezing. Has velcro and two way zip. Arms aren't too long and you can cinch in the waist with the button band on the back. Does run a bit large, I usually wear a small and an extra-small fits well.
