The pants tend to fit a bit small, so I needed to get a sizer bigger. But they are very comfortable! I loved the three levels of conversion - you can wear them long, you can roll them up and wear as capris or you can convert them to shorts. I liked that there were multiple pockets - 4 closed and 2 open. the fabric is very nice - it's easy to dry.

Great for hiking - My husband has the mens' version of these and absolutely loves them so I wanted to get a pair of my own. These pants are not only flattering, but are very comfortable on our long hikes. I was concerned about sizing as I typically wear a 4 in street clothes but a 6 in Columbia, and thought maybe all outdoor brands ran about the same size. So after reading many reviews where some claimed they ran small and others said the pants fit just right, I decided to go with a 6. They are only a tiny bit loose, but the draw string tightens them up a bit and I would rather them be a little baggy than too tight because they allow for a better range of motion while out on the trail all day. Overall, highly recommended and I'll soon be picking up the other colors as well.

I bought these pants in three colors but have not worn them as yet, I purchased them for traveling. The general fit was expected, I can wear size 6 or 8 depending on the brand and the cut of the pant. However, I should mention that the pants are a hint close around the lower thigh area where the pant becomes a short, I can feel the zipper across my legs but I do not know how that will feel once I wear them over time. Other than that they are fine. I purchased all colors and the fit was the same with each one.

Nice pants. These pants are comfortable. I am very petite; size 2 usually works for me, but to my surprise, I had to go down to a 0 (flattering, yes, but a little inconvenient! Love the free return shipping, Zappos!). The size 0 is long (of course! I've come to expect it), but I do like them a lot. Will be putting them to the outdoor test very soon.

I am 55 and 125 lbs and I bought the size 6 in marsh green. Ideally, I would have returned these and ordered a size 4 short (Zappos doesn't offer lengths other than regular, but other online retailers do), but I didn't have time to re-order before my trip. The size 6 pair are a bit big in the waist (there is a drawstring, but they're big enough that there's a bit of a wad of gathered fabric in the front after tying them) and they are a bit too long. The cut of the leg is more straight than flared or boot cut, so the extra length on the bottom just kind of bunches by my shoes. However, the pants are very functional and kept me dry in drizzle and while hiking through wet grass. I like the way they fit as shorts more than as pants and the legs are easy to zip on and off. Bottom line: These are fine for the trail and functional as hiking pants...they aren't particularly flattering and I wouldn't wear them to the store or anything like that. It's a matter of whether or not you want to buy a pair of somewhat unflattering hiking pants for the price.

Great pants! I just got these, shipping was amazing! Ordered on Saturday afternoon and here on Monday before 10 am. How do they do it? I took the advice of others and ordered up a size. They fit perfectly. The 3 different lengths will make these my go to pants for travel. They are comfortable and light weight. They don't really wrinkle much. Easy to convert to the different styles. Love them!

Thought these were made for Women - I have been looking for good hiking/convertible pants for hiking and traveling. I went with The North Face name brand, only to be disappointed in the comfort/sizing. I usually wear a size 6 and had to go up to a size TEN! Even with the drawstring, that was then a bit baggy. Where can you find pants made for women's curves?

MUCH too small - I usually wear a 16 or maybe an 18 but I could not get these pants on my thighs! I was really disappointed since they seemed perfect for my travel plans.

Puerto Rico Hiking Adventure - I usually wear a size 10; but found the 12 to fit much better. These pants feel quite comfortable all day, from the 60s to the 80s. I was in them every day for a week and found them an easy wash and wear. This week, I will be in a plein air art workshop and will wear them again (love the pockets) for their sunscreen properties. I even bought them for my sister who will join me in the workshop. As long as you consider one size larger, I think you will love them!
