Great watersports shoe - I really like this shoe have used on my wave runner, biking and walking on the beach. Its lightweight and dries quickly. The only problem is I normally wear a size 13 wish it came in 13.5 because its a little tight.

Columbia Aquatooth - My latest purchase from my only shoe supplier! ZAPPOS DOES IT AGAIN! Super Fast Shipping and a shoe that is second to none! I tried the Salomon Techamphibian, but they weren't as good as the Columbias. The strap on the back slips and does not keep your foot snug like the Columbia Aquatooth. I wear a 15! Currently out of stock when I need another pair. I put in the reminder and am waiting... I'm off to Bali with these shoes.

HIKED THE NA PALI COAST! Got these to hike the Na Pali coast of Kauai. Needed an amphibious shoe, because it's often a wet, muddy trek, and regular 'hiking boots' get too slogged down and heavy, and anything leather would be ruined. These were comfy enough to wear around town, but were grippy enough to handle the slippery trail. Fully breathable, drain easily. They appeared trashed when we were done, but I scrubbed them up when I got home, and they weren't even stained with the red mud... it all came clean. Now that I'm back home and landlocked, these are still my new favorite shoes!

My Husband's Favorite Shoes! My husband wears a size 17 and so can be hard to buy shoes for. We found these and thought we would give them a try. From the first day he wore them (3 weeks ago) he has loved them. He told me that these are 365-days-a-year-shoes and some of the most comfortable shoes he has ever worn. Yay Columbia for making large, comfy, good looking shoes!!

Not that great - Overall the shoe felt tight (too narrow) in the toe box. The bungee chord ties are too short (compared to a pair of Keene sandals that have a similar tie mechanism). Getting the shoes on is not an easy feat as I sometimes battle to literally pull these shoes on. The heel cushioning does not absorb a lot of pounding. Fix the above and you would have a great shoe. However, I bought these for walking in water areas and they work well in this environment.

Jungle Shoes, Thank God for these!!!! I bought these for light hiking and general wear in hot countries. At present I am in the Amazon Jungle and will be off to Thailand next and wanted a light shoe to wear when not using my jungle boots... enter the jungle shoe! They operate in much the same way, quick drying, easily drainable, very very breathable. The sole has great grip. It is also soft enough that you can feel what is under your foot (without the pain), great for when trudging up rivers over rocks. These shoes are incredibly comfortable. I find they have also molded to my feet. Have the breath ability of a hiking sandal but with more support and without you getting stones stuck in your feet every 5 seconds... I love these shoes and am quite infatuated with them! No more wearing my retired Asics and slipping all over the place!

Drain holes in insoles cause discomfort when not wearing socks. Serve their purpose as a water/land shoe. Not the most comfortable heel.

Cheaper than Air Conditioning - I hate wearing socks in the summer time. These shoes are very breathable while maintaining the "running shoe" look and feel. I highly recommend these for those that want the mix of shoe and sandal. Plus, the OMNI stuff seems to be something that other similar shoes do not have.

Quality water/sports shoes - These shoes are advertised as water shoes, but they really work as an all-around athletic shoe thanks to the mesh top, grippy sole and comfy insole. I use them primarily for biking thanks to their ventilation, and any sport played outdoor in the summertime would benefit from this shoe. Really helps keep your feet cool! Of course, not ideal in the wintertime or if you have cold feet in general.

Excellent warm weather walking shoe - I have a foot problem that makes sandal straps uncomfortable. Looks good, less filling - It's probably a lot to ask that a shoe designed to wade in the water will grip your foot really securely, and this one doesn't feel like it necessarily will, but I intend to give it a try. It sure looks good, and sure dries out quickly when wet. Does fine as a trail shoe, but could benefit from a bit more arch. All in all, one thumb up.

Columbia scores! OK- its tough to find shoes to fit my sz 15 dawgs, but Col had the brilliance to include this shoe in their super sized catalog. They know even Sasquatch sometimes covers his dawgs. Besides the sizing, I picked this shoe because it has an aggressive outsole with drainage. Many of the river shoes have a smoother outsole, which may be good in some circumstances, but I find this nod to traction to be a more utilitarian approach. The shoe is very light, well constructed & comfortable. I had but one imperfection: my foot, though long, is not a wide one, yet I felt some snugness over the pinky toe. If your foot is wide it may be an issue. And Marge wonders how there got to be pig hoof prints on the ceiling!

A great amphibious trail shoe - I have big feet (size 17) and this is the first shoe I've found in my size that performs as well in the water as out. It drains well, dries fairly quickly and is supportive, sturdy enough for trail running and general athletic activity. It also looks good and is comfortable either with or without socks. Overall, a terrific shoe perfectly suited to the activities for which it is designed.

I am surprised. The shoe so far has impressed me though I have yet to wear in or around water. The fit is as close as Ive come to perfect for any shoe in a while as I have narrow feet w/ high arches. It could have a slightly thicker more padded sole for extended wear comfort. I can't really complain though as my primary intent for the shoe will be fishing/ launching boat without worrying about getting shoes wet. The shoe does seem to run maybe a 1/4 to 1/2 size short but my normal athletic size 13 shoe seems to fit fine. Any shorter and the shoe wouldn't work. The shoe should fit a B or medium width foot no problem. Pretty good arch for this type shoe. Good luck. Zappos service is still #1!

Best shoe if this type especially the price!!! I've looked and tried on many shoes of this type and these are "sweeeet." I like the Salomon and really think the North Face shoe with the lace wheel is a fine. But, style, comfort and looks took me to this Columbia AquaTooth; yellow/blue/grey. They are great sockless when on the water. However, when in town a low cut sock is great (I wear a dark grey sock as it looks better with the mesh). I wore them all day the first day and it was like a light shoeless trip ;-)
