  • The one that started it all: Miōn™'s iconic original, the Current Sandal, is the standard for comfort by which all performance sandals are measured.
  • Customized comfort courtesy of the Ergomorphic™ footbed while the 360° lacing enables a personalized fit.
  • Ergomorphic™ Footbed: An anatomically shaped, removable footbed with a layer of Ergomorphic™ foam that customizes to the shape of the wearer's foot after approximately 12 hours of use, resulting in a personalized fit.
  • Sculpted Super Structure: Each Sculpted Super-Structure rib wraps around the foot in critical areas to keep the foot in place during static and dynamic conditions and to provide coverage and cushioning.
  • The result is a protective and personalized fit to match the user's foot characteristics and width.
  • Super Structure Cord: A one-piece cord made of either climbing-grade rope or extremely strong Kevlar® cord that spirals around the Sculpted Super-Structure, resulting in the wearer's ability to customize a precise fit based on the demands of their activity.
  • Wet/Dry Outsole Traction: This outsole has the ultimate traction on wet and dry surfaces with a unique design that features a proprietary Quad-Cut™ siping configuration and Gripstick™ rubber compound.

I live in them! I'm so sad that they seem to have stopped making Mion's. I've had my pair of current sandals for 3-4 years now. They still work just fine! I drop them in the washer from time to time to restore color/odor then good to go for a few more months! And oh! How diverse their uses. I work in electrics and lighting for films, and they stick with me a) no metal b)stick to anything wet or dry, rain storm, sweat, dirt, rocks... ANYTHING! c) the curved bottom makes it easy to jump/get traction on small or irregularly shaped objects d)They keep up with this New Yorker at least 2-5 miles a day spring through the first snow. They're also the only work shoe I've found that doesn't leave my feet sore at the end of 4 straight days of work. I'm looking for more before they're all gone!

"Moon sandals" I was kind of disappointed in these. I was attracted to the funky look and thought it would be nice to try something different. They are not very comfortable however, kind of a hard plasticky feel. The fit with the elastic cinch rope was not great either. They are also much more puffy on your feet than they look in the pictures. I'll give them an A for trying something new, but I think they need to go back to the drawing board.

Very unusual, sloppy fit - I bought these so I'd have a pair of sandals to do about anything in during the summer...problem is, they really don't fit well enough to do anything too rigorous in. They're interesting, but the fit is prohibitive.

Tough to make perfect...but worth the effort - Once you pull the cord through the sole, you find the perfect fit. They really are comfortable but do need to be tuned.

Wow, awesome comfort! I live in these sandals and have four other pairs of Mion’s. The lacing is so innovative and functional. I hope they never stop making these cool shoes! Very sticky sole. I'd recommend ordering down a size. Good luck!

Great but be careful ordering - I am a sailor and have lived in the Mions for the last two months - no other shoes! I have bad feet; need toe protection for being on deck, and high non slip, non marking performance. The Mion's have met the test! They are comfortable! The "lacing system" takes time to learn but once done so is easy to use. They do come a full size larger than marked. I bought the wrong size (should have been a 9 for a 10) but have survived however sometimes (during strenuous activity) my big toe pops out of the front cover. Tight lacing resolves this. I usually must wear orthotics with my shoes but do not have to wear them with the Mions. Quite remarkable.

Very good for wet adventuring! The best I have tried by far. Takes some getting used to the lacing system but it is a very smart system. Good Luck!

Very comfortable after some adjusting - This highly-hyped sandal caught my attention a while ago in a magazine article. I've had Tevas for a long time and they always dug into my ankles or heels leaving blisters. I have a whole Teva-blister-preventing system with thick bandages and tape and have cut off parts of the Tevas where they dug into my skin. When I saw this show, I was immediately interested in any all-terrain sandal that said it was "comfortable". This is an obviously funky looking sandal. I looked at all the colors, and decided to go with the Woodgrain (why not up the funk factor any more). The sandal up close has an appearance of cheap artificial rubbery foam, but at "normal" viewing distances it looks like leather or some tougher material. The brown of the Woodgrain actually looks nice...and almost makes the sandal appear normal. You really only see the "grain" up close. With the Woodgrain, I think I get more comments like "those are cool sandals!" versus "those are weird!" In reality, all the colors are nice... it's hard to go wrong. The comfort of the sandals is really revolutionary, BUT it takes A LOT of effort to adjust the sandals to get them to comfort level advertised. The whole "moldable custom fit sole" thing seems a bit of a marketing scam. It's only a 3/16" insert that "molds" to the bottom of your foot which doesn't really do anything for foot support. It is the wrap-around cord that is the key to the sandal's comfort. It wasn't entirely clear to me at first that there is only a single cord that loops around the shoe a few times. You can adjust the cord at any loop so it pretty much fits the shape of any foot. What people didn't tell me is that the cord is very difficult to pull through the sole. Maybe it will get easier over time, but I didn't even think it was a single cord at first because it wouldn't budge. Also there is no clue as to what side of the cord to pull on to tighten a particular loop. I finally noticed a subtle clue that there is an indentation at the pull points so you can work back from the front to figure which side to pull. So... once you've mastered the cord adjustments, this sandal is great. I haven't worn these a lot, but will put them through their paces this summer. The rubbery foam material of the sandal appears like it could tear easily, but I'm guessing it's a lot tougher than it looks. This has been mentioned before, but these sandals run VERY big. I wear a 10.5 and ended up with size 9 Mion. I almost could get away with the size 8. Definitely order at least a size down from your normal shoe size. Mion has put a lot of thought into these sandals. For example, there's a sliding cord-lock on the top of the sandal to take up any slack after you adjust the loops. You can center the cord-lock based on the leftover cord and then clip it to any of the loops so the extra cord doesn't flop around. A nice touch. Overall, this is very interesting and extremely comfortable sandal (once you've figured out the cord). I'm excited to wear these this summer. Good job, Mion!

Wow!!! Love this sandal...completely water proof...the little rope cord thingy was tricky at first but after three or four uses they are a breeze to put on. They look great and are so light!! Awesome having my toes covered up great for water parks, reefs, and shell driveways!

Puffy sandals - A little goofier than the picture, they have a puffy look to them. They’re pretty comfortable and more protective of the toes than regular sandals.

A novel shoe... I ordered these looking for something different in a sandal that could be used outdoors. The looks is certainly different, but nonetheless, cool. They take some getting used to in wearing. It also takes awhile to get used to how to properly adjust the lacing. I'm hoping that I can get a great deal of wear out of them this summer.

Cool and comfortable - Got these in the irreverent wood grain. Wow, as cool as my Keen Yogui's! Very, very comfortable even before break in period. Very unique look and lacing system. I'm back to buy more. Great grip on wet surfaces and very light weight. Felt true to size. Thanks Zappos!

Weird shoe! Wow... this shoe looks like some sort of foam alien is trying to eat your foot! The material it's made of is kinda puffy, so that the shoe poufs out around your foot, making it look bigger all around. Your toes rest in a "toe cap" of foamy material that looks kinda detached from the rest of the shoe... From the photos, I figured this shoe was similar to the sneaker/sandal style that Keen helped popularize. But in person, this shoe shows a lot more toe, if that makes sense. This shoe runs about a half size -- at least-- too big.
