Falling apart - I had the shoes for about 4 months and part of the shoe by the heel is falling off. The tread has seen better day and an air pocket must have gotten a hole in it because it hake a fun squeak noise when I walk.

Uptown or Mountaintop ...they're the best - Bought my first pair because of the way they look. I am now on my fifth pair. I am a marathon runner who has switched over to trails and love these shoes. A little on the heavy side but after thirty + years of running speed is not as important to me as comfort and durability. The gore tex liner works very well until the water comes over the top then nothing helps but an extra pair of socks.

Good luck with North Face products - I ordered these shoes and received them 3 days later. I expected it to take a week. The shoe is extremely nice looking and was comfortable from day one. I wear them everywhere and really like them on the golf course. This is my second pair of North Face shoes and I am totally satisfied with price to value and comfort.

Great shoe but sole is separating - Wonderful fit, comfort, weight, and style. I would buy another pair but the sole is separating from the shoe at the toe area. If they fixed that I couldn't complain about anything.

On air - Great feeling shoe. A lot of arch support and very light weight. They are going to need a little break in time to give some more flex to them. This is my first pair of north face and I am happy with the purchase.

North Face Terrainius XCR - This is a great shoe. I have a high arch, and this accommodates me. It may seem stiff at first, but they become very comfortable after the first week. Since this is a waterproof shoe, it can be very hot in the summertime. However, I still use this shoe for hiking in the summer because it has such good traction.

Great shoe - I took these shoes on a three day backpacking trip into the Sierra mtns. They worked great. I covered 10+ miles on days 1 and 3 while carrying a 30-40 lb pack. On day 2 we did some technical hiking/bouldering stuff on granite. At the end of the trip my feet still felt great and the shoes help up nicely.

Excellent hiking shoe - Shoe was exactly what I was looking for...low top, light weight and waterproof. In addition it is a comfortable shoe and looks good to boot!

Uncomfortable seam inside - Great reviews from everyone else, but I could NOT wear Terrainius Low. Just beneath the highest lace whole, a seam joins leather and gortex. There is too much leather here and it creates a "knob". When the laces are tightened I get 2 painful points on the top of my foot. I reordered a 1/2 size larger to see if perhaps my pair was defective or the wrong size. No luck. Still painful. I honestly do not know how anyone could wear these shoes. Too bad. Great style and worth wise felt like a very solid and athletic shoe.

Two Thumbs Up! This is a great well-made shoe. These shoes are comfortable, flexible, and have a no nonsense look to them with a very aggressive tread. The Gore-Tex shrugs off the water but this shoe has good ventilation. If you're looking for a Gore-Tex trail shoe start here.

Extremely Impressed - I feel that this may be slightly immature but helpful nonetheless. I have only put about 15 trail miles on these shoes since I bought them. 10 of these miles with a backpack weighing about 25 pounds. Never before have I been so impressed with the performance of a hiking shoe. Zero break in time. Not a single hot spot or blister or cramp or crink or whatever you want to call it. The traction is outstanding. Breath ability is tremendous. I live in Southern CA and this last trip I did a ten mile roundtrip overnight in the San Bernadino forest and these shoes were bone dry every time I took my shoes off (and I have sweaty feet). I didn’t get a chance to check the waterproof ness but gore is usually dependable. These are a great looking shoe with excellent support (although I do add my super feet insoles to my hiking shoes) for long weekend backpacking trips or day hiking. Highly recommended.

Amazing so far. These shoes are amazing. They are water proof shoes that still feel like running shoes with excellent support. The treads on these shoes make me feel like I can run up a wall. These shoes seem a tad narrower than normally which creates a snug comfortable fit on me...but they are definitely not for someone with wider feet. Outside of that I think these are amazing and I only hope they can survive the off-road abuse they claim to be designed for.
