No more frozen toes - Being new to the snow, I purchased these to save my toes from being frozen. I bought half a size larger than I would normally wear and they fit perfectly with thin socks. They are so comfortable straight out of the box that I realized that I had forgotten to take them off. They give good traction in the snow and pretty good grip on the ice. In terms of construction, I like the stitching around the sole. My concern with some other models of boots that I looked at was that the edges of the sole were glued only and I've had troubles in the past with the glue lifting after some wear. These seem very rugged and I'm sure I'll get plenty of chances to test that out!

Just exactly what I need to survive winter without slipping or getting frostbitten toes! A great sturdy boot, well-made, and a good deal for the money. We've always had good luck with Sorel boots. And Zappos service was excellent.

So warm and cute! These boots are adorable and warm. It feels like you're rolling up and down the road rather than walking. The insert makes them very comfy, but you'll need a whole size larger than usual. So glad I bought them. I live in the mountains and they fit my lifestyle just fine.

Zappos, you've done it again. I looked at these shoes one night and the next day...18 hours later, I had them in my hands. I needed a shoe that could withstand a Michigan winter and was easy to slip on and off. So if you're looking for a jeep-type shoe with some style to go along, than this is the shoe for you. Fantastic! Got these as a kind of last resort boot before New England winter and have not taken them off since. Well... not literally, but they are the kind of shoe you keep on when you get home because they are just so comfortable and warm. They stand up to my hard, constant walking and to long periods of standing work. Even though they are not technically waterproof, the high soles are excellent in slush and snow and the boot does very well throughout. I do wish the lace went a bit higher to tighten the top, but the lace is long enough to wrap around the top and still tie in the front, which is now what I do. Presto! Get them, you won't be sorry.

GREAT BOOT (or slipper!!!) - These boots are quality leather, fit true to size, and are OH SO COMFY! I got them just before a blizzard hit. I put them on and wore them to shovel over a 3 day period - my feet stayed cozy, warm, and dry! No issues with the seams and the suede leather is apparently treated to ward off moisture, too. These boots are not bulky like some are and I've been wearing them as shoes since I've gotten them, no complaints!

Super comfy - These boots are awesome. They're more comfortable than my slippers - it's like walking on a cloud. However, because of this, they don't have much in the way of arch support, so if I wore them around campus all day my feet would be a little sore by the end of the day. And they're *very* warm but my feet were sweating (I wear a thin pair of socks with them - no more is necessary). Which brings me to another point: they run small. My usual size "fit" with thin socks, but with winter boots it's very important that your toes have plenty of room so that the blood can circulate. A size up fit beautifully. Oh, and you'll appreciate the way that they're cut - the height difference from the back of the boot to the front (on the top) makes walking easier.

Rainy days in San Francisco - I love this boots. The time we had storm here in SF, I had to walk 7 blocks. I was soaking wet when I got home. My boots was all wet, but when I took off the boots my feet were all dry. So comfortable and got lots of compliments. I love Zappos excellent customer service. More power to your company. Thanks!

Kaya - I liked the way the boot looked online. Now that I have them I'm enjoying how comfy & warm the boots are. It was minus 20 and I wore them with out socks and walked Pittsburgh in my brand new boots. My feet were the only part that stayed nice and warm. Great stylish boots to wear for walking to skiing.

The BEST Hip Snow Boots! I'm glad I ignored the nay sayers! I do not have narrow feet, but these fit like a dream. 98% of my shoes are a 9.5, so that's what I ordered, and they're a perfect fit. (Although, I'll say here that I do not wear thick socks.) They looked ADORABLE with skinny jeans or leggings tucked in, and regular jeans & khakis left out. VERY comfy & warm without screaming, "I'm off to the ski lift". I wanted something fun and funky, but practical - and I got just that. (If you want a nice chocolate brown color - order "Cordovan".)

Not for wide feet - Love the cushy, soft, warm feel of these boots! They feel like slippers. Unfortunately, I need a wide toe box with lots of wiggle room to the sides as well as up and down. The toe box walls of this boot slant up and inward diagonally, so although they look wide on the outside, they don't feel wide. I started with a 10 - for a size 9.5 foot. Felt short and narrow, even with thin socks. Next ordered a 10.5 and 11 to see if I could make them work. Even the 11 feels narrower than other styles of Sorel in a size 10. I am not sure how other reviewers could say these feel wide. Wish I knew if the material has a chance of stretching out a bit. This pair of boots had the chance of being my "one-boot-does-it-all" pair because of the warmth, style, and arch support. Sadly, I'll probably send them back and decide on the Caribou for warmth and wiggle room.

At Last - I purchased these boots online, with no idea how I would like them and much to my surprise, they were the best boot for warmth and comfort. They may not be the prettiest footwear, but they do the trick. I was trusting the reputation of Sorel for the task of keeping my feet warm during the cold months of winter, in New England. Thank you Sorel ! ! !

Very Comfortable - This is a very roomy, cushy boot. I have a medium width foot, but have a bunion, and a high instep, and always need plenty of toe box room. This boot has plenty, allowing me to wear thick socks and heat packs. Since it's a tie boot, I can tighten enough so that my heel doesn't slip up. I wear a 38 (or 7 1/2-8) shoe, but always order a half size up for boots, and these feel good in length. They look much larger/wider on my feet than they appear in the picture, but the comfort is worth it. My feet have stayed super dry, warm-ish, but not toasty.

Sorel Kaya - This boot is very comfortable and warm. I have a very difficult time finding boots that fit me, because I need a wide boot with an arch. It is also very warm. To top it off, I got a lot of complements from store owners! These are the first boots in years, that I love for comfort and warmth .

Love These!! I have horrible feet...weak ankles and flat feet and I wear orthodics. I was looking for a very comfortable but stylish warm boot and I found them! Feels like I am walking on air. And unlike some of the other Sorel styles, I could lace these up nice and tight. I also have a narrow foot and wear orthodics and I don't feel like my feet are floating around in these. Love the free returns; I was able to try three different styles before deciding on these.

Warm and comfortable - This boot is terrific. Extremely comfortable, accommodating my slightly wide foot beautifully. Better traction than most snow boots, and no problems with water seeping in. It's not the sleekest looking boot with its wide toe, but still very cute!

Best winter boots ever! Oh my - my feet have never been happier. These are the coziest, most comfortable winter boots I've ever owned - and I've owned a lot. They're basically slippers - fabulous plush shearling inside, perfect with bare feet. I can't bear to take them off - it finally got cold enough to wear them this week, and I've hardly taken them off. These boots are fabulous!
