Probably the best shoe I have tried so far (I have previously owned La Sportiva\'s Cobra and Testarossa, as well as Five Ten\'s Dragon, V10, and Anasazi Verde). This shoe is most similar to the Dragon and V10, which I wore in size 5.5 and 6. I ordered the Jet7 in size 6, and was very pleased. The fit was a bit looser (read: comfortable), but there was no loss in performance or sensitivity. The velcro closure works quite well. The quality of construction, which had been lacking in previous Five Ten purchases, was quite high with this shoe. The lip around the heel of the shoe is reinforced meaning it won\'t split, and the pull tabs feel very solid. It would appear the few qualms I had with Five Ten shoes have been addressed in this model, but I will have to wait another month or two before I can say this with certainty. So far, so good!

Seems great so far. Just bought these. Was nervous about the fit and downturned toe at first. The shoe is about as tight as it can get for me and I was worried it would not stretch much due to the rubber toe box. After a few times wearing it around the house it started to conform to my feet and is starting to get as comfortable as you would expect. I expect after a few climbing sessions it will get better. I was worried the downturned toe would effect smearing and edging, but does not seem to be a problem thus far. The downturned toe really helps when toeing in on small holds. Forefoot seems very stiff, could be for edging stability, but it is still supple enough to feel the hold. The closure works fine if the shoe fits right. Size too big and you will notice slippage. Heel fits nice and tight and does not feel like it will come off, but have not tested that yet. My only real complaint is the toe box does not feel as comfortable as leather or other synthetic materials, but it does conform to the foot. We will see after a few months how well it really performs.

Incredibly High Quality Shoe - I got these from Zappos a couple of weeks ago and I am amazed by their performance so far. Admittedly, they were painful at first (my second toe is longer than my big, so I got a bit of a hotspot on the knuckle where it was curled up), but they stretched to fit my foot quite quickly (there is now a little bulge in the top of the toebox to fit my freakish second toe). Slipping them on really sounds like closing tupperware: you get that satisfying vacuum seal that inspires confidence in even the most treacherous heel hooks. I was curious whether the narrow strip of rubber covering the heel would be sufficient, but it wedges nicely into slopey holds. The edging is amazing, as can be expected, and the FiveTen rubber lives up to its sticky reputation. I can tell that it was designed for slightly wider feet than mine, as there is a bit of dead space along the top of the foot, but the single velcro strap does a great job of cinching everything tightly. As far as sizing goes, I took advantage of Zappos amazing business plan and ordered a 9 mens and an 8.5. I ended up keeping the 9 (for comparison I wore a 9 in the Evolv Defy's, a 9.5 in the Spires, and my friend's 9.5 Anasazis felt just slightly big). I have only used these in the gym so far, so I can't speak to the breathability on hot summer days, but so far they are comfortable (plus the painted on "green" rubber is awesome for toe hooking). So, if you are interested in these shoes, I would highly recommend them, as I know I will be buying another pair after I thrash the ones I have.

Very high performance! You can stand on anything in these. I have climbed in a number of down-turned shoes over the years (Mad Rock, Sportiva) and these are the most sensitive and stickiest I've climbed in. Five Ten makes the stickiest most durable rubber, as you will see with this shoe. The heel is amazing! Stays put on anything and is narrow enough to slot into smaller edges and seams. The toe cover is more sensitive to toe scums than the thicker rubber of other high performance shoes and in a heel-toe scum it is perfect. The single velcro strap was a worry at first, but it has proven well built over time. Have to break the toe box in on these babies, but they fit like a glove once you're there and the velcro always adjusts to the day.

Very unique shoe - This shoe is very unique. The toe has a small lip to latch onto very small crimps. With my old shoes, I would have to move quickly off a crimp to avoid foot slippage, but when I went up the same route with Jet 7's, I felt like I could rest on small holds. On overhanging routes, the radically downturned toe just seemed to completely latch onto the smallest features! The rubber on the toe allows for some awesome toe scumming and the heel acts like a suction cup to prevent the shoes from slipping off on heel hooks. At first I thought that the adjustable strap seemed pointless, but I have found it oddly nice to adjust the fit (varying on the type of climbing). The color and the style of these shoes are very slick on the light weight shoe...Jet 7's are very comfortable for how aggressive they are. I am confident to say that in my 7-8 years of climbing up to 5.12c so far, these shoes are the best shoes I have ever owned!!! However; if you are a crack/slab/beginner climber, these shoes aren't for you, Mythos perhaps or 5.10 Spires. I also have to give credit for Zappos.com. I bought my shoes in 7.5 men's...but were too small! I wore Spires in 7.5, but those also stretch a little. Zappos reps. were extremely helpful and actually apologized to me...even though it was completely out of their control. I had my 8.5 sized shoes 2 days later...now that's service!

Wide and Long - I wear a size 10 religiously in the Galileos and they are quite snug and comfortable. I ordered a 10 in the Jet 7, but it didn't have the same fit. I probably could go down to a 9.5 or even a 9 if I really pushed it (so I returned the 10s). Also, it's simply a wide shoe for those with, well, wide feet. It's also quite bulky and the fabric on the tongue is pretty thick, so expect to get a little hot in them (plus, they're all black and all rubber basically). I think in the right size they're gonna be a killer shoe.

Advanced/Intermediate Shoe - 1/2 size smaller than street shoe was perfect for me. I usually wear 2 sizes smaller than street in Sportiva Katana & 3 sizes smaller in the Sportiva Miura. Comfortable(as a rock shoe can be) right out of the box! Very well rounded performance. Edging, smearing (very sticky), toe & heel hook solid. Fairly sensitive. There are other more sensitive shoes but this one has a lot that the moccasins do not.

Great shoe - Great shoe for steep overhanging bouldering/sport routes. Perfect for pockets. Surprisingly comfortable for an aggressively down-turned shoe. They fit me a half size smaller than the newer Anasazi and same size as Moccasym.

Way to go 5.10!!!! The Best Shoe Ever! I was instantly attracted to this shoe. I have a wide foot and have been climbing in the old Five Ten UFO. I have said it's the best shoe ever. Though they were getting worn after a couple resoles. I noticed this shoe and knew it was the one. My only concern was the apparent single Velcro strap. It actually crosses the shoe in a zig-zag pattern for total security and adjustability. It fits perfect. If you wear 7 in the Anasizi, get 7 in this shoe. The heel is deep and snag and very sturdy for ultimate heel hooking. Totally downturned toe grabbing and radical edging. The upped toe is lined with rubber which is very durable for hooking and all-around durability. The colors rock! Overall a 10 out of 10 for this shoe. I would not recommend this for slabs or less than vertical terrain. It will excel on pockets and precision.
