I bought these shoes to wear on our new boat. We have never owned a boat (other than kayaks) and my Keens scuffed up the deck. These are perfect for wearing on the boat and I have also worn them to work (in an office). I would definitely go a half size smaller than normal. I bought a nine which is my regular size and they fit fine with the strap, but if I put the strap behind the heel, they will slip. All in all, I really love these and have worn them ever since I bought them. They are comfortable and not bad for walking. I would not wear them for an exercise walk, but they are great for walking around town. I think I may buy them in a different color, I like them so much.

These were the first pair of shoes I purchased after foot surgery. I put them on and they didn't hurt, what joy! They have a nice supportive sole, but aren't too clunky and heavy. Although they were a little bit narrow for my wide feet, they've stretched out comfortably.

Nice overall, but sweaty and noisy. I was really impressed with these for a few weeks, but then my feet got and stayed sweaty in them. Then they started squeaking, so I'm returning them. Too bad, they are cute and very comfortable. Not much arch support.

Overall I like these shoes. I bought them because I was looking for something other than flip flops that were cute and stylish, yet casual and easy to get on and off. They're very comfortable except for one thing on my pair. I get a blister on my left pinky toe when i wear them. It doesn't happen to my right foot. So I just wear them with mole skin on my toe and it's fine. Not sure why that happens on one foot. Anyhow, I get a lot of compliments on them. And people recognize they're Teva.

I bought a pair of these shoes in a small store in the gold country, loved them so much I came home to see if they had other colors. I ordered a second pair through Zappos and received them very quickly. They fit great, feel great for hours, and haven\'t gotten smelly. I would highly recommend them. They\'re a bit tight in the ankle strap but loosen up.

Very cute - These shoes are super cute. However, Teva sizing is inconsistent. I usually wear a 7.5, and ordered these in 7.0 -- they still seem a quarter size too large, and I know the 6.5 will be too small. Although the shoe is nice and cushy, there doesn't seem to be much arch support. The mesh part is lined so you won't get much ventilation if you are looking for that. The bottom of shoe also has good grip, so will be good for different surfaces. I might keep them as a cold weather shoe (here in Southern California).

Second pair -- Bracken is a winner! I have the grey/black Westwater and simply love them. As a high school teacher, I am on my feet all day long on a hard surfaced floor. Comfort is Number 1 with me! The Bracken is a rich, dark brown - solid color. The leather, mesh, and rubber are all the same color. This shoe could easily go from the pool (waterproof) to dinner out. (I normally buy 6 1/2 but wear a 6 in this style.) Teva and being a Zappos VIP makes shopping easy.

Strap too tight for high arch - Really LOVE this shoe, but sending back (much to my sadness). I have a high arch, and much like other reviewers posted, the strap is NOT adjustable. Lower/flat footed wearers might find the length appropriate. My arch is too high ---while I can snap the strap closed, it's just too tight. I love Teva's -- wish I could keep this shoe .....rats.

Love the shoes and the style is very cute. Slightly dissatisfied with sizing. I normally wear 5.5. In this shoe, the 5.5 was a little loose and the 5.0 was too tight. An adjustable strap would probably help. Kept the 5.5 and enjoy wearing them. I am on my feet a lot and I never get tired in these shoes.

I love these shoes, and have been wearing them every day that they go with my clothes. They are comfortable for moderately long walks, and my feet stay pretty cool. They seem pretty tough; they haven't scuffed. They have an okay arch support. I'd like a little more, but my feet don't hurt when I wear them, even several days in a row. I like the cool pattern on the sole, also! My friend has some, and loves them, which is why I bought them. They do run a little big. And Zappos service can't be beat.

Overall great, sticky snap problem. I tried on a bunch of shoes (without socks on) in this style at an outdoor gear store, and the Westwater was definitely the most comfortable. I've been wearing it for a couple weeks, and it's still super comfortable. My only gripe is that the snap for the ankle strap is incredibly tight, and it's a bit of a chore to take the shoes off, which I do fairly often throughout the day.

I saw these in a store in black, but they didn't have my size. I thought I'd be able to wear a 6 but they ran big. So I ordered the walnut/mauve ones from Zappos in a 5.5. They were really cute and comfortable --perfect--with the strap, so I was disappointed that when I put the strap back (for a "flats" look) my foot came right out of the shoe. So (since Zappos is so quick and easy) I ordered a size 5 and sure enough my foot didn't come out of those. I was thrilled, and returned the 5.5's. But after I wore the 5's around town, my big toe started hurting. So I can't return them, but I'm thinking of getting the 5.5 again, because they look so nice (for a sport-type shoe) even with the strap on. I think they're worth it. And Zappos will probably get them to my house just in time for me to take them on our two-week trip to Germany.

Ive worn them on a 7 mile hike (diverse terrain), tromping through the city and splashing in the rain. They have upheld fabulously in every situation, and are cute and incredibly comfortable to boot. I especially love that after my hike, a quick rinse and a 5 minute dry had them looking new again. They are a perfect fit for my narrow feet. I agree with other reviews - order a half size smaller.

But after that, they were great and I wore them for years. Thankfully, I didn't have that problem with the Westwaters. When I saw these shoes on a friend, I was surprised to learn they were Tevas! Since I work in a lab, we are required to wear "closed toe shoes". In the summer, that gets tough when you want to dress in cooler clothes and wear shoes that are appropriate for the weather. I got the chocolate chip and liked how well they went with my summer clothes. For me, I graduated from a size 8 to an 8 1/2 after having kids (and turning 40). I ordered 8 1/2 and they fit fine. I like the strap around the ankle to keep the shoes secure, but often slip the straps back behind the heels so I can easily slip them on and off while working my desk. They're a little harder to walk in like this, but I only need straps on ankles when I'm doing serious trekking across the hospital campus!
