Columbia Bugazip - Really like the look but definitely runs at least 1 size smaller. Arch was a bit snug also. Zappos great for returns though.

COLUMBIA QUALITY BUT ORDER UP AT LEAST ONE SIZE - Will address issues from other reviewers from my own perspective. Found these boots to be quite comfortable. No problems with ankle being too tight. Spend a lot of time outdoors in Minnesota in winter and have not had the zipper slip down even once. Extremely warm. Only criticism, they are DEFINITELY SMALLER THAN INDICATED. I wear an 8 to 8.5. Ordered up to a 9.5 to accommodate heavy socks and were still very much on the snug side. If you live in a somewhat warmer climate than Minnesota, you may be able to pull it off with thinner socks but let's face it...if you need these boots at all; you need them for cold climates. As far as width, they are snug for an average foot but acceptable. If you've got a wide foot you'd probably have a problem. Arch support, definitely moderate and a plus over Sorel boots. All in all, a very nice boot and very warm. But order at least a size bigger.

Overall, pretty nice - I bought these last year, because I loved the look and wanted a casual winter boot for fresh off the slopes as well as commuting through snow. I risked the warning that they run small, and I'm not terribly disappointed with my size 7.5 in an 8. Thick socks would be tight, but these are warm enough without. Ankle is very stiff and the cuff is comfortably snug, but that also keeps the snow out. The zipper does tend to slide down, but not more than halfway and only if you try to bend your ankle. The smaller fit is my only regret.

Ok, my shoe size is usually an eight, but I can easily wear and walk in size 7 1/2 (even for dress shoes). I ordered a size 8 and it fit snugly. If I could I would order and 8 1/2 (but they don't have the color I want.) I had no problems with the zippers (maybe perhaps because I left the zipper part pointing up?) Very comfortable, but strange to walk in. They are very stiff around the ankles, and will probably be hard to drive in (I haven't tried it yet, but I'm going through the motions right now, and its tough.) The area of my calf where the shoe ends is about 11" around, and once again its snug, so if you have bigger calfs, the shoe will probably be too tight around the shaft. Very well made, looks nice, but stiff. Perhaps breaking them in will help...

Ouch! The top of the boot around the zipper area dug into my shin. They were also tight in a size 7 even though I wear 6.5 - 7. I returned these immediately. I don't have wide feet or legs so I was surprised at this fit.

Cute, but not comfy - These boots hurt! They were too small, so I had to order 1/2 a size bigger. They look great, but hurt so badly! They are VERY stiff, and by the time I took them off I had a rash from the top of the boot rubbing against my leg. I would not buy these again.

columbia bugazip - I was very pleased with the speed and service of Zappos - however I have been slightly disappointed with these boots. They fit well as I ordered a larger size, however, they are very stiff - and remind me of wearing ice-skating boots as they make it very difficult to flex my ankle. They also don't seem very cozy as the soles of the boots feel quite hard even with thick hiking socks. After wearing them for a whole day the bottom of my feet felt bruised and I was glad to take them off. I think I might try them with some sort of insole and I'm hoping that with more wear they will soften up a bit as they do look great and the zip really makes them quick and easy to wear.

Not that warm - I work outside up to 8hrs per day. I was really looking forward to these boots. They sounded great in the reviews, but when I got them and used them I just wasn’t that impressed. My toes were still very cold and the zipper kept coming unzipped allowing cold air in and a loose fit. My advice... keep looking.

Columbia Bugazip - I have another pair of Columbia boots in my normal shoe size that are too tight to accomodate heavy socks, so I ordered these a full size larger, just right. The width works well for my narrow foot; most boots are way too wide for me even with big socks. Zappos delivered next day though I didn't have to pay extra. Best price, lightening fast, no shipping fee- I'm impressed. First stop fom now on. By the way, my similar pr. of Columbias (-45 degrees) kept me warm snowmobiling Yellowstone 12 hrs. a day with occasional use of a toe warmer. Great boots!

Great boot! Order 1/2 size up! Just received my boots. They look great and feel very comfortable. I had to return the first pair though, as I am usually 7.5 but had to exchange for 8's since they fit a little snug. I love the zipper, it is much faster than having laces. I just hope they will not break over time!

Great boot - I just got mine, not through Zappos, but at DSW... it was cheaper there (30% off) plus a had a 10% off coupon. Anyway, they only had a size 6.5. Since I started working as a teacher 5 years ago, I discovered that my foot has grown and now I wear between 7-7.5 depending on the brand. My foot felt VERY comfy in 6.5 (also warm:-). I went shopping at the end of the working day, so my feet were at their biggest! However, I wasn't planning to wear the boots with a thick winter sock, just over stockings or a dress sock until I get to work and change my footwear. Hope this info helps those of you who are buying from the site without trying these on!

Not true to size - I found this boot to be about one and a half sizes too small, so order up in size! Seems to be quite narrow too. If you have a widish foot, I wouldn't go with this particular style.
