I bought the Shroom Brown/Algae Yellow. The brown is probably a little lighter and slightly more green than in the picture, but my only real complaint about these shoes is the tongue. If you lace them to the top eyelet, the tongue is so rigid and wide (wrapping around the foot) that it practically cuts into your "crankle" with every step. I wish The North Face would have incorporated a more flexible tongue into these shoes.

I bought these for my husband who needed a casual shoe that was comfortable and cool looking. These have a unique look to them and he loves them. They are also made by a great company and aim to be ecologically made.

great shoe. comfortable and light. they look good. I bought this same shoe in canvas about 6 or 7 months ago, and loved them but wasnt crazy about the color (green) after they faded. So now I went for the leather ones in shroom brown. They look slightly greenish in person than the picture shows, which is tan.

I saw these shoes on display in a store and I thought that they would be great casual shoe. I started wearing them quite a bit, but within the month, they front of the sole on both shoes started coming undone. I repaired them, but again it recurred. Thus, I have to say that the quality of the construction is in question, which is actually surprising from what I've come to expect from the North Face brand.

I saw these shoes on a gentleman who was touring in Guatamala. The only place I could find these shoes was at Zappos. The ordering was super easy and Zappos was very prompt at processing and shipping my shoes. These shoes fit true to size and are extremely comfortable after a day or two break in. I would recommend wearing them around the house the first couple nights you have them. They have a unique look unlike any other shoe and that\'s one reason I bought them. You won\'t be disappointed in purchasing these shoes especially from Zappos.com

Comfy and flat - I wanted these shoes because most casual shoes have too much heel and support. This thing is flat. It feels like you are wearing a closed toe sandal. (I can even wiggle my toes in them) I wanted shoes that emulated barefoot walking and this is close. (I hope to try Vivo Barefoot shoes if Zappos ever carries them) I don't have the metatarsal pain that I had with my other shoes. The heel on those shoes elevated my heel and put more weight on the front of my foot. In these shoes I feel my weight is balanced. Fit is good. I think I am between 10.5 and 11.0. But got lucky with the 10.5.

Excellent shoe, excellent service - The shoe is great looking. Definitely very black but I like that. The fit was perhaps a 1/2 size too large but it works for me ok.

Shoe Arch: No arch support
Great comfort - The second I slipped these shoes on I had to double check the box to make sure I didn't accidentally order a pair of slippers. I use arch support insoles in everything anyway so I can't comment on the original insoles. The only things that prevented me from giving 5 star ratings were the color of the shrooms having a slightly greener tint than the pictures, and the heel seems a bit low. If you wear any kind of supports that raise your heel or have really thick insoles I wonder if these would feel awkward.

Great buy! This shoe is great. Super comfy, excellent style, eco-friendly. Only sticking point: has no arch support. I have orthotics, and would recommend them before wearing the shoe.

Just what I was looking for - This was exactly the shoe I was looking for. Everything is nearly perfect, but there are a few details off. 1. The side of the shoe hits a bone in my ankle. It only happens on the right side, so I imagine it could be my feet, but I haven't had this issue before. I think a bit thicker insoles will take care of the issue. 2. The front of the shoe feels a bit wide, but it gives the shoe a more comfortable feel. 3. The price is really high. I would have hoped to pay less, but I suppose the whole recycled spin bumps the price up. I have been looking for something like this for a long time, and I have never liked a shoe as much as I like these. If they were half the price, I would buy a second pair for when these wear out.

Great shoes! I've had these Haydens for a few months now, and couldn't be happier. They are light, they look good, and have been supremely comfortable since day one. Made partially from recycled materials too. I'd like to get a second pair to have when these wear out.

Needs insole - These shoes have no arch support and are of a soft construction. After addition of after-market insoles, however, they are my current favorites. Lots of toe room, stylish, and very comfortable after alteration.
