Good hiking boot - I used this on a hiking trip to Turkey. They were worn for a few days before leaving. They did not require any break-in period. The traction and comfort were very good. My feet are narrow and I used the recommendation from others that this would be a good fit. It was. I did use my own arch support, but I need to do that in all shoes regardless of price. Good value.

Great desert boots - These boots got me through seven days of pretty much nonstop walking at Burning Man. They're fairly lightweight, breathable, and well-suited to 5+ miles of daily hiking in a harsh environment. My feet are narrow, and these were a great fit. The only issue with these is arch support; I have flat feet, and it was necessary to get some Dr. Scholl's arch-and-heel support inserts. After that, they were very comfortable, but some type of insert is a good idea if you're going to be walking more than a few miles in these.

Great hiking boot for narrow feet - These boots fit my very narrow feet nicely. My feet have been comfortable and blister free on several day hikes ranging from 3-7 miles, on terrain ranging from well packed dirt to rocky, dry river beds, and even sand dunes.
Other shoes recommended by reviewer: Saucony running shoes.
