I bought this in three colors. I like the length. It is to my midcalf (I'm 5'6") and I can pull my legs up under it when reading. The material is thick like an outdoor fabric with a little shine so it falls on the line between casual outdoor dress and semi-dress up events. The weight is more fall and spring, but the sleeveless bodice is more summer. It can be worn all seasons with thin hose (fabric clings to thicker tights) and a sweater jacket. I am a size 12-14 with a 38c bust and I returned the larges for x-larges and gained a little more drape since the fabric is somewhat unforgiving of fat rolls. The large also made the bust more if a focal point than I wanted. Overall, I like the dress, but more for everyday comfort wear than as a party or church dress.

This is a fantastic dress! As most other reviewers have said, it can be dressed up or down. I bought this dress for a wedding and with heels and jewelry it was perfect, but it would also be great with flip flops at a casual bbq. I am 5'6", 130 lbs and the small fits perfectly, not too tight and hits a little below the knee. I definitely recommend it!

Fixing a problem. I got this dress in small and when I put it on it looked great. I washed and dried it according to directions, then put it on again and was terribly dismayed to see it had shrunk! It wasnt much shrinkage, but that percent made a huge difference as I was right at the fit of totally sexy. if you know what I mean. the shrink made it totally vulgar. anyway, I talked to a customer rep, I wish I could remember her name; she was genuine and a professional, and explained the situation to her. Zapppos is awesome! They refunded me the cost of the dress! Talk about a company that works with the customer! If there is one company left on this earth to believe in as far as customer service goes, it's ZAPPOS.COM! Thank you so much, you have a lifetime customer right here.

Cute! The fit on this dress is very close. So if you have a little extra padding, the dress will look better with an undergarment that holds you in. I'm not so sure that ordering a size up will cure that.

I ordered this dress at the last minute to wear to a wedding, and it's definitely the most versatile dress I've owned in a long time. It looked nice with pumps and some dressy jewelry. Feels like athletic wear you can dress up in! Great if you want to dance, and stretches if you feel like pigging out instead. And if you over-do the eating, you could wear it to an exercise class to burn it off. This one's a keeper!

Great dress. The material IS similar to bathing suit material and is very stretchy but not shiny. I usually wear a size 10 dress but needed to return the medium for a large. It falls mid-calf on me (5'4"). The bodice is close fitting, there are no gaping armholes and bra straps are completely covered. The V-neckline lies flat and is flattering, not too low or revealing. The cut begins to flare just above the waistline and skims the waist and hips, a very flattering and comfortable dress.

The fact that I bought this dress in 4 colors is review enough. I know thats excessive, but these dresses are flattering, can be dressed up or dressed down, and worn in hot or cold weather. In the Bay Area, it is chilly in the summer. Ive worn these dresses with a long cardigan and boots. They look just as great that way as alone with sandals. The dress washes easily in the machine and packs well. Im not sorry I bought 4.

This is the most perfect dress. I liked the way it looked and really appreciated the video showing how the dress looked on a real woman as compared to a model. The color is beautiful, the fit and drape are just what I had hoped for. This is a dress that can be fancy or casual; it is the only dress I plan to take on a 7 day cruise. Love it!

I really like this dress. It is comfortable and very flattering even that fabric is synthetic. I am size M but this dress was way to tight for me so I ordered another one in L. Fit in L was better. One negative is that in the hips it is little bit too large, but I can live with it.

I returned the dress because I didn\'t end up liking the way the material felt, just a personal thing. It definitely runs long, if I kept it I would have had it shortened at least to the knee. Nice dark red color. Zappos service was exceptional, ordered 7pm and it was on my doorstep the next day!

I ordered the black and wore it to a school reunion. Very flattering fit. I'm slim and petite 5'3", but didn't find it to be too long if you don't mind a mid-calf length.

And naturally I\\\'m pairing it with some sweet Zappos sandals for the summertime. Very versatile dress -- I should be able to wear this anywhere from the local bar to the orchestra concert.

The fit is great! I'm very impressed with the fit of this dress, and I love the color (I bought Northern Light). I am 5'7", 150, and a medium was perfect. If you carry your weight in your hips and thighs, I think you'll love this dress, as it accentuates the positive. If you carry your weight in your stomach, I don't think you'll like this dress as much, because it really fits close around the waist.

Love this dress. I could comfortably and happily wear this every day, and I hate dressing up - but this is just that easy and natural to wear. I have an XS in the blue, and it's a gorgeous striking color with an extremely flattering fit, especially around the bust (I am a B cup and I believe I can even get away with not wearing a bra in this.) Fabric is definitely a "sport" fabric, but it hangs so beautifully that you can easily dress it up (plus, any wrinkles from packing will shake out if you just hang it for a little while.) Besides being a go-to dress in terms of overall look, it's also a worry-free dress in terms of fit. NO bra straps showing, no tugging at the bust because it stays put and is not too revealing; no fussing and adjusting as can happen with other dresses. This is true for the length as well. I had intended to hem it just a couple inches shorter at first (wanted it to hit at knee, and it's just below) but I'm considering leaving it - it also stays where it's supposed to go, doesn't cling, doesn't blow in the wind, and lets you be pretty active without having to worry about it flipping up or anything like that. At any rate, big thumbs up. I might buy another color. Don't hesitate to get it!

It is slim-fit, which means it hugs your torso, waist up, so if you have a slim waist, it should look great. I bought black, which is ever so versatile, but I would like another color (maybe if it was a little cheaper). A great dress for summer- dress it up or throw it on for the beach or running errands!

I purchased two of these dresses, one in blue, the other brown, so that I could pack light for a vacation trip to England. These can literally be rolled up for packing and shaken out before wearing. I'm 5'4" and weight 150 lbs., bust size 36DD--the size large, fit great, covered all my "bits" and is stylish with the bust line fabric knot detail. I love that the style and fabric allows you to go from day to night. During the day, worn with Skechers Mary Janes, I could be comfortable while touring, at night, throw on a pair of heels, some jewelry and a pashmina wrap, and you're ready for a lovely evening out.

A Review for Lankier Bodies So, I had a very hard time finding a review from someone a similar size to myself 510, 135lb., small bust. I took a chance, got a size small, and it fits me beautifully. I was most concerned with the rouched top as similar styles tend to swallow me up, but the top fits my small bust nicely. Length is great too, the size small falls right below my knees. I got the dark blue and the color displayed on-line is accurate. I would NOT describe the fabric as others haveshiny. It is of course not a matte finish (because it is not cotton) but the appearance of the fabric does allow for great flexibility in dressing it up or down. Lastly, I am compelled to mention comfort, which can be likened to being naked in bed. Only Issue: bra strap shows in back, which is why "Look" got 4 of 5 stars. Although, it shows no worse than your average snug fitting t-shirt. Hope this helped someone!

It is flattering, packable, washable, extremely comfortable and well made It is cut a bit long which throws off the proportions a bit but then it works with boots. A go to dress for sure.
