I am completely in love with these shoes. I often have a hard time fitting in shoes because of a bunion problem and these hold my arches just right while still having enough room in the toes. They are a little bit more flimsy than your average shoe, but it's a great feature because you really feel like you're in touch with the ground beneath you. The soles have huge grips; so far I've only taken them on one major hike, but my feet were comfortable and solid. If you have weak ankles, these shoes are not for you as there is no ankle support, but I was actually looking for that. Oh, did I mention they look badass?

Super comfortable, these shoes slide right on. The treads are perfect for trail running or plain old hiking. They can be interesting on pavement as the treads are supple and high, but I absolutely love them. This is the second LaSportiva shoe I have purchased and they last long, are super comfy and durable.

I purchased these shoes based on all the positive reviews from magazines and other reviewers. I was a little hesitant due to not being able to try them on first. Zappos was great! I accidentally put 2 pairs in my cart. When I realized it, I called Zappos. They fixed my error and upgraded my order to 2 day shipping. My shoes were here in 2 days. The shoes were extremely comfortable and fit true to size. I wear a size 39 and have just your average foot with no foot issues. Other reviewers were concerned about the ability to replace the laces, but I've never had a pair of laces break prior to actually wearing out a shoe. If for some reason, you had to replace the laces, it would be difficult to access the lower eyelets. I've had them for just over a month now. I wore them while backpacking 30 miles in the Grand Canyon and immersed them while walking in a creek for about a mile. These shoes had superior grip. They are flexible in the forefoot and allow the foot to flex. Rocks don't get caught in the tread. The shoelace cover kept the dirt from getting in. After 30 miles of backpacking, I had no blisters or hot spots. Other than some scuffing on the sides of the soles, these shoes show no sign of wear. After hiking in the creek, I removed the insole and allowed the shoes to dry overnight. You'd never know I used them as river shoes. These are great shoes and Zappos provided great service. I'd highly recommend the shoes and Zappos.

I narrow foot and don't wear orthotics; this shoe is for you - I use orthotics and this shoe does not accommodate them well! The fit became too snug across the top and sides, yet going a half size larger (which I tried) did not help> the larger size was just as narrow, only longer. It doesn't help that the stretchy fabric over the laces does not allow width adjustment. Regular shoes without it accommodate a range of widths by lacing looser or tighter. This shoe does not do that. Also can be a pain to get the right fit with proper lacing. Too bad, otherwise would have been a great shoe, the sole looked so grippy it made me want to hit the trails instantly! If you have a narrow foot and don't wear orthotics, this could be the dream shoe for you!

Light and fast. Very snug and comfortable fit (i wear an Asics 12.5/47 and the crosslite 12.5/46 fits great.) Great traction on all terrain. On rough terrain, you can feel every rock and root, due to the softer shank. The scree guard is not my style, but it does its job of keeping debris out of the shoe. I would definitely recommend this shoe to anyone looking for a light, fast trail shoe. Zappos customer service is top notch and delivery is quick. Way to go Zappos!!!!

This is a nice running shoe/New York City street shoe - This shoe seems really well made, has awesome mud/moisture protection on the sole and sides, is very light and flexible. My advice is to follow the sizing chart on the La Sportiva company website. The shoe is true to their size chart, which is a bit different then some other charts.

These boots are classic with a fresh twist to them. They fit true to size and they're more comfortable that I expected! They present the rugged look with jeans yet are smooth enough to still make the grade at the club.

La Superica! I christened these shoes on a fairly difficult, snow covered trail. Nice roomy toe box. Excellent traction. Perfect fit. I ordered my Crosslites online, @9:30PM and received my shoes the following day @6:00PM. Thank you Zappos for providing a great service!

Great winter running shoe - I bought the shoes primarily because they look great. I walked outside wearing them in the snow and icy ground - and they have an excellent grip - I am confident I can go running in them in the cold and icy Minnesota weather. They are also fairly warm. I also wear them to group fitness classes and the only thing that is a bit uncomfortable is that they have very solid sole and cause a bit of pain if there is too much jumping involved.

Very comfortable, light trail running shoe. Also good for light hiking. I climbed Mt. Monadnock wearing these and traction is awesome (its shank, however, is on a soft and flexible side so these should not be your full-time hikers).

Race-like - Great, fast shoe that replaced my Go-Lites. Shoe feels like it has a low center of gravity with tons on rock and dirt traction - although a little slippery on roots. A bit tight in the toe box and had to size up - I run in Asics Gel Nimbus as my standard for fit.

Nimble mountain runner - A fantastic light shoe for running on all kinds of mountain terrain. Upper fits like a glove. Lugs grip rocks and help with sliding on scree. Doesn't hold mud. I even found them to grip on ice reasonably well. Very comfortable right out of the box.
