Very thin, not for blustery cool spring weather - I ordered this jacket for wearing in Florence, Italy next April. I expected it to be heavier, cooler weather useful. But it was as thin as a shirt. And the gray was more like a light black. It looks lighter gray in the picture. And the description reads that there is a down swoop in the back but it is really just cut straight across. This is a cute jacket -not as cute as I'd hoped. It would be okay for a cool summer evening, but not a cold Europe in April.
