For the record, I am not one for winter boots. They are usually too bulky, un-stylish, and uncomfortable. That said, I love these boots. I've worn them three times so far and will keep wearing them all winter. I maybe could have gone a 1/2 size smaller, but if I wear a thicker sock, they'll probably be just right. They are much softer than most winter boots, therefore much easier to break in. And they passed the ultimate test: driving a five speed. Normally a clutch and snow boots do not mix. These boots are very flexible in the ankle area. Sounds silly, but I've gone through lots of boots for not passing the clutch test!

These are perfect! What I love the most about these is the fact that they aren't huge and cumbersome like a lot of snow boots. I can wear them under boot-cut pants or with pants tucked in and they're not ridiculous looking- good for the city. The purple is a little bit funky and feminine, which I appreciate. Also, I have extremely tiny calves and ankles, and these boots are able to hug them, hallelujah! Columbia makes top quality stuff, in general, too. I'm very happy.
