These pants are really comfortable and have a great little elastic waistband in the back. I'm 5'5" and the length worked well for me. Even though these are thin, I was wearing them in 30 degree weather and I was still warm. The fabric is easy to clean and durable. Haven't worn them as shorts yet, but I did notice that the bottom hem of the shorts when I unzipped them were a little narrower than I would have liked; otherwise, great pair of pants.

I got these pants for my backpacking trip through Glacier National Park. They are really comfortable if you are used to wearing lower rise pants. The pockets are sort of small but worked out well for little necessities while hiking like a pocket knife, chapstick, etc. The zippers on the legs are color coordinated on these pants instead of L and R which I liked. The only thing I didn't like about these was that there is no option to make them into capris like some other styles of these pants. I also needed them in a pinch and Zappos got them to me right away, as always! I am definitely getting these in another color for future backpacking trips!
