Awesome Shoe!!! Love this shoe. Looks great and very comfortable. The 11.5 is slightly narrow on my foot, but length is perfect and the mesh material and elastic straps allow you to adjust the fit.

Best shoes I have ever worn!!!!!! I now have 3 pairs of the Techamphibian. I wear them year round except when there is measurable snow on the ground. Most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Easy to put on and take off, washable, which keeps them looking and feeling new and lightweight. I may have to go in the 'box' with these shoes on!

Hot foot - By chance I got a pair of these shoes 3 years ago, I loved them. When time came to replace them, I had hard time finding them in the shoe store. The shoes are cool (temp wise), also they look cool. It is very lasting all man made material. I bought 4 pairs.

These shoes are fabulous. I wore them kayaking and they are perfect for the job. I am very tender footed and I could wear them walking down to the river and wear them in the kayak and when I had to get out in the river so the kayak would float I could still wear them. They are great for the tender footed who love the water.

Great shoe - This is the second Techamphibian I've had. It's a comfortable shoe, can be pushed down at the heel and worn as a slide and is ok with water. I hose it down when it gets dirty and the insole comes out for drying. Get it!

Great All-Around Shoe - Very comfortable shoe, like a sandal with full coverage. I live in Washington and with our mild winters this is a year-round shoe for me. My main problem with this shoe is no wide sizing, if you have a wide foot order at least 1 size larger. On an up note the convertible heel is one of the best inventions in shoes ever, from a slipper to a shoe bam.

~ Awesome Shoe, All-around! ~ This shoe is remarkably light, sturdy, supportive, and comfortable! It looks great with an old pair of jeans or with a pair of dress pants. Since it's amphibious, you don't have to worry if you get caught in a downpour. And, best of all for us (as vegetarians), there are no leather parts used in the making of this shoe! We highly recommend this excellent all-around shoe!

Great Looking and Comfortable - I am really pleased with these water shoes. The mesh is more comfortable than I expected. They work great as water shoes - I use them kayaking and wear them to the beach. The also look great and I find myself wearing them everywhere.

Very Pleased - I like these so much that I'm buying a second pair for use when my first pair wears out. I generally wear these with very thin socks (I hike in dress socks). I wear them daily for three mile walks on pavement. I took only these on a two week tour of England this month, walking five miles a day or more, without blisters or discomfort. Part of the time the daytime temp was around 50, and my toes were a bit chilly. Nice and breezy on hot days. I've worn these without socks on forest hikes without trouble. I don't find that I'm getting any more gravel in these shoes than in regular shoes. Not as comfortable, of course, as some more padded shoes, but when it's warm out, MUCH better. Size was just right.

Salomon Techamphibian- I had initially ordered these but when I tried them on there was one spot that rubbed wrong on the top of my right foot. It may have just been the craftsmanship on this one pair, but who knows? So I ordered a pair of the Salomon Pro Amhib and they were much more comfortable. The Techamphibians went back and the Pro Amphibs, well, I'm wearing them right now...The sizing is a little strange on these... at least on the Pro Amphibs, I usually were a US 9 which is what I ordered and they feel big, extra room in the toe, I just checked the sizing again and they say European 41 1/3, I usually wear a 40 in European sizing, so when I order my next pair I'll probably order smaller. Once again Zappos amazes me with there service, quick shipping and easy returns. Thanks Zappos!

Very Cool and Comfortable- I work on my feet 8 to 16 hours a day in different laboratories. I also am prone to athlete’s foot as I swim everyday and my feet just get very 'hot and tired' in any type of footwear I have found to date. These shoes are FANTASTIC! They are very comfortable and greatly ease the discomfort I felt in other footwear, thus making my whole day much easier to endure. They say you should have good shoes and a good bed because if you aren't in one, you're in the other- this is exactly what I have been looking for. Also, of all my online shopping experience I have yet to find a company with customer service even close to that of Zappos- especially there exceptionally easy returns policy. Great shoe- great company to do business with!

A great choice. I have been looking for a real "water shoe" for serious outdoor sports, not just going to the beach, and these fit the bill. Great construction and the quick lacing is a snap. Drains well except if you are in silty water in which case they tent to clog a bit. My only complaint is that they fit a bit narrow and there are no alternate widths...otherwise I would give them a 5 star for the overall price and performance.

Cool in all senses - You can't get more ventilated than this shoe unless you get a sandal. The mesh is just that: mesh. Air passes through it very easily. The nice thing about these is that unlike sandals, you're less likely to get rocks in them while hiking. They also dry very quickly. Comfort is good, but they can irritate a bit (when not wearing socks), though I suspect that after a longer break-in period that will dissapear. If you're looking for good hiking shoes that can take a beating, go in water, and most importantly can be worn sockless and keep your feet cool, then get these! Sure, sandals will keep you a bit cooler (not much), but you won't get any protection from rocks, boulders, dirt, etc.

Awesome Techamphibian - I recently purchased this shoe to wear on my honeymoon and was thoroughly impressed. In Hawaii, it took me from beach-side to poolside and then up to the mountains. It performed very well. I especially like the fold down back.

Kissed my sandals goodbye! Originally I was just curious about these shoes. I've read lots of reviews about them, but thought I'd give them a try after seeing a pair at my local Sports Authority. These were meant to be replacements for my sandals. The first three or four days, they felt a little strange, but two weeks in, I'm a true believer. They're comfortable with or with socks. I love having no laces or velcro to deal with. I'll definitely be ordering a second pair. And of course, the staff at Zappos made the ordering process nice and easy. It only took two days to get my shoes. These guys rock, thanks again Zappos!

They're great... The good things are: lightweight, very cool (we live in HI, so this is important), rugged, the lace-up system is great, comfy-springy support. The only thing my husband complains about is that they are a shade narrow...but other than that he loves them.

Excellent shoe - I use these daily instead of sneakers. They are very breathable, light, easy to get on and off. I'm in work shoes all day long (Mephisto), as soon as the bell rings I slip these babys on, let my feet breathe. I'm very happy w/ the quality, overall I'd say they are the best shoe purchase I have ever made and would definitely recommend. Quick delivery from Zappos too.

great shoe - bought this in preparation for a trip (hiking/canoing/scuba) to Belize...haven't put them to the test there yet, but can say they are great shoes for summer walking in new england. nice support, cool with the air flow through the mesh, and perfect for when the rains come to keep traction. oh yeah, and they look as cool as they fit/feel...

Great everyday summer casual shoe - Fits well, with little rubbing on bare toes. great for wearing every day when you want your toes covered, but not sweating in a regular shoe. Works fine on the beach too.

Break 'em IN! Bought these for my hubby, who has NO sense of fashion,and he actually said he liked the "look" He has sworn off sandals, so this was the alternative. He seems to really like them, especially the fact you can wear them like clogs! Aside from a "rubbing" on the top of the foot while breaking them in, these are a hit! The ORANGE is an awesome color!

I love having no laces or velcro to deal with. I'll definitely be ordering a second pair. And of course, the staff at Zappos made the ordering process nice and easy. They're great... The good things are: lightweight, very cool (we live in HI, so this is important), rugged, the lace-up system is great, comfy-springy support. The only thing my husband complains about is that they are a shade narrow...but other than that he loves them.

Excellent shoe - I use these daily instead of sneakers. They are very breathable, light, easy to get on and off. I'm in work shoes all day long (Mephisto), as soon as the bell rings I slip these babys on, let my feet breathe. I'm very happy w/ the quality, overall I'd say they are the best shoe purchase I have ever made and would definitely recommend. Quick delivery from Zappos too.

great shoe - bought this in preparation for a trip (hiking/canoing/scuba) to Belize...haven't put them to the test there yet, but can say they are great shoes for summer walking in new england. nice support, cool with the air flow through the mesh, and perfect for when the rains come to keep traction. oh yeah, and they look as cool as they fit/feel...

Great everyday summer casual shoe - Fits well, with little rubbing on bare toes. great for wearing every day when you want your toes covered, but not sweating in a regular shoe. Works fine on the beach too.

Break 'em IN! Bought these for my hubby, who has NO sense of fashion,and he actually said he liked the "look" He has sworn off sandals, so this was the alternative. He seems to really like them, especially the fact you can wear them like clogs! Aside from a "rubbing" on the top of the foot while breaking them in, these are a hit! The ORANGE is an awesome color!
