Great travel dress - I am excited to take the Patagonia Bandha Dress with me to Africa this fall. The dress is all I hoped for - wrinkle free, versatile, and reasonably priced. Oh, I forgot, and the fit is great! The empire styling is very flattering.

Great dress if it fits you! After reading other reviews, I now think this style works best if you don't have an hour-glass figure. I do -- the medium was too tight on top and shoulders (I'm a broad-shouldered 32D or 34C), but the large was too big everywhere else and looked dumpy. Too bad, it's a super style -- no wonder so many reviewers love it.

Great dress for older woman with reservations - This is a great dress discovery for me, an athletic 65-yr-old...I love the fabric and freedom to throw on and go. I just got a few other styles of same fabric and find this dress is less forgiving of the older figure...something about the cut spotlighting the middle... have to wear Spanx undergarment for first time to achieve a smooth line...the shirt is somewhat too generous if you are slim in this area... I still wear it, but I much prefer the other Patagonia dress styles in similar fabric. My dream Patagonia dress would be a style with cap sleeves for the older arm. After all this... I feel I will order my favorites in several colors and ditch much of my closet as too fussy and high maintenance. You can travel with a few of these, some light wrap tops for night and be done with it. Yeah!!!!

The perfect little black dress - This dress is a winner. It does not wrinkle! It curves and flows just where it should. The style is perfect for lunch at a cafe or attending a wake in the summer. Who knew Patagonia could do indoor clothing so well? I found it true to size as well.

Great black dress - The weight of the fabric is medium/light, not heavy by any means, just not super light. The cut is lovely -- the v-neck looks great and is low, but not too low. I usually wear a size 8 or 10 on top, 34C or 32D, and my shoulders are wide and muscular. The top of this dress in size M was too tight -- wearable, but not comfortable. Too bad, it would be super for travel, very flexible.

Fantastic - I love this dress. I'm an ex-swimmer and have an athletic build and long torso that lacks curves. I usually look a little out of place in dresses. That said, I look great in this dress. The fabric is unusual for a dress - thick and smooth - almost like a swimsuit or some kinds of yoga pants - but very comfy. The cut of the dress is verrrry flattering. It accentuates my bust in a good way and while I'm actually built a bit like Sponge-bob (not fat, but square!) - this dress makes it seem as if I had a defined waist and hips. I imagine on a curvy person it would only look better! I've worn it to the office w/ heeled sandals and around town w/ Birkenstocks. It's heavenly. I've never actually written a review on Zappos before, but this dress was just top notch and I had to say something. I will be buying the Bandha tops w/ the same knot style bust. I do wish Patagonia made it in different colors and different lengths. As some reviewers mentioned, it does hit about mid calf... either shorter or longer (or both!) would be better.

Dressy and comfortable! I bought 4 Patagonia dresses and liked the Bandha and the Kombu best. The Vitali was too tight in the bust and I didn't love the material. I liked the style and material of the morning glory, but my stomach stuck out and looked awful on me. The Bandha is the same material as the morning glory and I love it. It is very form fitting on top and then flares out a bit and hits me at mid calf. I'm a petite 5'1" and the XS fits me very well. The blueblack is a beautiful dark blue and I got the black as well. It is a bit longer than I expected, but I happen to think that the length makes it look a bit more dressy. I am in my early 40s and this look for me seems very age appropriate.

LOVE this dress! This is my new favorite black dress. Great fit - very flattering. I've received tons of compliments. The fabric is awesome. It's going to travel well - easy to go from casual to dressy.

Good travel dress - Nice, comfy material that you can dress up or down. Wear during the day with flip flops or at night with heels. Good basic dress to have with you on a trip. It is long enough that you don't have to worry about it riding up when you're sitting in public.

This dress is very comfortable and hugs just the right places. I normally wear a sm (I'm 5'4'' with some curves) and even though some of the other reviews say this dress runs sm, I still ordered a sm and it fits great. I agree with another reviewer in that for me, the dress is a little too long. I'm going to have mine hemmed so that it hits just at the knee. The knot front isn't too revealing either and it fits great. I love the fabric too, very durable, yet looks great. I only gave it 4 out of 5 because I have to get it hemmed but that is just my preference.

Love the twist - I have this style in a few shirts, now the dress too. It's very flattering, comfortable and still stylish. I found the length odd for me but once I had it shortened (about 9 inches!) It looked much better. I like it to hit just above the knee, not at the largest part of the calf. Great with either flip flops to the pool or sandals for out to dinner.

Great basic dress for summer - I've had a rough time finding dresses this summer. Everything is either too dressy for everyday, or else it's far, far too short. This is nice and basic and can be dressed up or down.

Ready to go - Bought this as a travel dress, something you could pack and still wear out to dinner with out digging out an iron, etc. It will be perfect (have not gone on the trip yet) it is very comfortable, practically wrinkle free and it cut in a way that you could wear regular underthings (no need to pack special bras that have straps for every occasion). The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 in the looks department is because the material is very different for a dress and took me a bit to get used to but it is so practical, and looks great on so it is a great choice for me.

Bandha dress - I love this material from Patagonia, I also have skirts and other styles of dresses made from this material. This dress is nice to wear to work. Very comfy and easy to get ready early in the morning, yet I can wear this dress in casual settings. Beware, Patagonia most of the time runs tight and small, I believe, for active people. I am about a 10-12 and I get mostly lg or xlg in all Patagonia items. One time I got xl and it was way too big. I have this dress in black and purple color. I would get more if they came in more colors.

Hugs in all the right places! This dress has a beautiful fit. Its style is very versatile. It's very easy to wear and is comfortable for an evening out, a party with the right accessories, or just for simply going around town. It's also excellent as a travel dress, virtually wrinkle-free and low maintenance. Dries quickly, too.

Great dress but... The reason I can't give this dress 5 stars is it runs small in size. Normally I wear a small, so I ordered a small, it is an extra small in size. Great material, nice color but I am sending it to my daughter who is extra small!

Patagonia Bandha Dress - Disappointed - This dress ran small and was a much heavier weight fabric than I expected it to be. I thought about returning it and decided to keep it because I can always use another comfortable black dress. I just don't think this will become a favorite. It feels like a much cheaper fabric than I expected. The cut is cute, but the look of the dress I expected it to be a silkier fabric. This is a heavier fabric, so it doesn't hang on me the way it looks in the picture. It also is a much tighter fit than what I expected.

This is a great dress - comfortable and flattering. I was worried about the fabric (which is the same as they make climbing tights out of), but it turned out to be my favorite part. I have a very muscular back and shoulders and dresses are often too tight, but the fabric on this dress stretches very easily without bunching and looks great!
