Nice look and very sturdy! I bought this bag for a semester in Rome. We would spend hours out in the city and country for field trips and it was great to have this bag. It easily held maps, lunch, a book, water, a sweater, phone and my wallet. Although some people have said that they had problems with its construction, it held up very well for me, despite being tossed around planes, buses, sites etc.

Shoulder strap not adjustable! I wish I read the other reviews a little more carefully. This bag is roomy and cute, but the shoulder strap is not adjustable! I wanted to wear it across my body, but once the purse is full, it is too awkward and bulky. I'm petite and the purse sat too high when I tried to wear it across my torso. I had to send it back. The outside flaps had velcro, which I also didn't like.

Great tote - It's a little bit bigger than I thought it would be due to the triangular shape of the bag and the nonadjustable strap, but overall a great tote/day bag for work or shopping.

Purse - Overall I love the purse. The only problem is that the strap has come loose and has to be re-sewn to enforce the strength of carrying a heavy load.

Disappointed - Bought this for my mother in black and unfortunately the ring sections (that connect the strap to the bag) are its weak point. It's been a little over a week with a daily load that is not far from heavy and the stitching on the strap that wraps around the rings has started to give way. One has snapped off already actually... My mother is considering either restitching the affected portions with more reinforcement (as originally it had a single line stitch) or adding rivets in a color similar to the ring. The bag looks great and has easily accessible pockets (secured by velcro) although I'm unsure of what purpose those hooks on the bottom serve as they're secured with a button fastener. Overall the purpose of a bag is to be just that and the lack of a handle forces reliance on the shoulder which, as was stated, is poorly reinforced in the area directly connecting it to the bag.
